Plus all it takes is a quick glance at your wrist to decide if it's worth bothering to fish your phone out of your pocket.
This debate reminds me of when mobile phones were becoming a thing. "Why do you need a mobile phone when you've got a perfectly good phone plugged into the BT socket at home?"

So does mine, but I switch off the sounds as I hate my phone making noises. With a smartwatch you get a nice subtle buzz.

This is true. I've backed every Pebble Kickstarter because they do what I want and don't have to be charged every day.

It doesn't have a heart rate monitor.
Not worth buying unless £100 or lower.

That's akin to saying 'don't buy the latest iPhone as a new one will be out next year' - ad infinium .... you would never buy one at all!
Lets just vote on the deal at hand - it's a good watch, at a very reasonable price.
Tech moves on, and I'm sure the next one will be better, but it won't be this price for sometime and by the time it is there will be something new due out ....

That makes literally no sense.

Why? Been going for a while now. I've chosen one over Android Wear and the Apple Watch, despite trying all of them

The latest Pebble Kickstarter campaign has raised over $11,000,000 so far. Kinda suggests this tech is going to be around for a while.

It depends what you want from a smart watch. Mine tells me the time and notifies me when I have a text message or my phone rings. That's enough for me. I've got this watch and I've kickstarted the new one.

I love mine, although white leather strap get grubby quickly. so I'd suggest the steel strap to match as well.

Good deal. Amazon matching the price on the gold and black versions, although oddly not the silver one.
