I have been looking for an electric toothbrush and the 6000 cross action was the most recommended.
Amazon have thrown in a free Amazon Fire to stick worth 34.99 if you purchase the £78.99 toothbrush effectively making it £44.
Highly recommended.
All you need to do is add this tooth brush and the fire tv stick to your basket to obtain this deal. The promotion is deduced when you click checkout and should be were you enter address and credit card info.

They do all use the same heads, but the oscillations/pulsations/rotations per min can vary. The cheapest is generally slower, but from mid range up they are the same in terms of brushing performance.
After that you're really paying for better battery life in the top range model (10 days versus 7). Which could be useful to some I guess. And I think the top model also has better pressure sensor.
There are also more brushing modes as you go up the range, but I don't think thats worth the added cost. I never use anything other then the standard mode.
The rest is all gimmicks IMO. I have the BT enabled version and never use the App.

Go for the cheapest model. Clue: they all use the same heads. Not a bad deal overall but the price of these is such a rip.

Unfortnately RRP can literally be anything. If it said Was £229 etc, then it would be illegal unless it had previously been on sale for that price.

I think that on the first day it was the full RRP but after that they started discounting as no one is going to pay that much money

On my second one of these since Christmas, I'm hoping this one doesn't pack up. The good thing about Amazon is they will exchange items like this instantly if your on good terms with them. The first toothbrush died about 4 months in.

Makes a normal TV into a smart TV giving you apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (at a cost) as well as free services like BBC iPlayer. You can also add something called Kodi if you have the know-how which can be used for streaming sports, movies and tv shows.

Just a heads up...Oral B have a problem with some chargers...they fail for no reason..
They are terrible, me and my partner have one each and they need to go on charge almost every day. Save your time and money and go for the Philips Sonicare range. If you just want the firestick go ahead and buy it and sell the rubbish toothbrush.

if you need a bargain Braun Series 7 790cc-4 Men's Electric Shaver with Clean and Charge Station then there is a deal for it at £99 from £150 and the free fire stick works too. 99 for a £150 razor and a fire stick
URGENT only have 2 hours till deal ends though

Marketing hype i'd say. At full charge they may very well be (any links to figures?) but that will drop pretty rapidly. Only reason I started viewing this thread was because mine stopped working at all. Just put a new higher capacity battery in so thats saved me about £75

4 Jun 16#48
Sounds like yours is faulty / the battery has had too many charge cycles, or you're brushing your teeth 20 times a day. I have the top-end model of the Oral B range and it lasts the full stated 10 days.
neo3998
4 Jun 16#49
They must have had a faulty batch then as mine and my partners are exactly the same. I will contact Oral B direct and complain about the product. I spent £100 per toothbrush around 6 months ago, they should still be functioning perfectly.
I brush my teeth 2 times per day, around 4 minutes per time. Nothing that should be draining the battery in this manner. To be fair the one I had before was Oral B and that lasted just 14 months, I put it down to a faulty product and purchased the recent 2 we have. I would not buy Oral B again given the choice.

No definitely not, I have had a number of them and still have a low- and what I guess is a mid- range one. There's definitely a level (and it's not £75) where they start getting better, but the cheapest ones are not good. They're clearly just to get you on the bandwagon of buying the heads.

I bought a 2000 model the other day from Asda, is this likely to be significantly better?

4 Jun 162#52
I had this model, a load of features I I'd t really need.
Basically the vitality is the base model and is rubbish.
Next is the 600 650. These are okay but not very powerful. And don't have the visual brushing too hard indicator. But usually come in colours and special editions.
Then you have 2000 to 4000 I think, and these are all the same brush from what I see except for extra modes heads, depends what you need but guess 99% will only use the first mode.
This model is the pro smart range with a not very handy display unit. I found same speed as the lower end but longer battery initially but handle was less comfortable for me. And it had a different charger unit and was essentially a pain in the neck in a house full of 1000/2000/3000s

Here you go, sorry couldn't find the UK versions so model numbers may vary slightly:
From the 3000 up the brushing action (Rotation and Pulse speed) is the same. The 4000 then adds extra battery capacity (which I guess could be useful if you travel regularly).
The Apps pointless (I have the BT model). The App idea may become more useful in the future, if the brushes truly become "smart" (i.e have the sensors to analyse your brushing and possibly even the condition of your teeth).
Right now the App gives you no more useful info then the little display (coach as they call it) that comes with the BT enabled models. And thats more convenient then having to hold your phone while brushing.
so if you didn't need the extra features why buy it?
I started with the 600, due to the colour varieties but in reality it was the worst 25 spent. you needed severe pressure to get any sort of clean from it and thus I busted my heads far too quickly! and needed to charge it every few days! ive gone through a couple of those models in the last decade to the point I just switched back to manual, but now need 'more' on advice from dentist plus the need for a 6 monthly rather than 1 year check up! So i've seriously just wasted money through the low end one.
I was just going to jump to the 1000s models but decided only the top one as I wanted/needed the added features, mainly the deep clean. I find the smart timer and pressure sensor phenomenal as I'm very lazy to stick to 2 minutes in the correct way. plus due to the whack pricing I found it better to jump in at the top for not much more.
But the speed is nowhere near the same as the low end one.

It was only £48 so was a bargain compared to RRP and I wanted the longer battery life.
I liked the display at first but didn't really like the handle or when it would just stop when battery indicator was okay a second ago.
Lots of logic/ and tech that wasn't needed.

they have done away with the 1000 and introduced a 2000 which I think has the same internals as the 3/4000s?
will find out soon as I have a pink 2000 on order.
