In the clearance cabinets all used so will be customer returns etc. They had four.

Great price, if you're in Southampton. I never shop at john lewis, do they all reduce their stock at the same time or do they do it independently

Independently and stock varies with customer returns

I'd give the store a ring and find out if it can be delivered. I remember ringing up for a price match at my Local but didn't have time to get there any time soon. They offered to deliver it free of charge.

Contrary to earlier reply you received this is the annual summer clearance at all JL stores. Actual stock entirely down to what they have - usually customer returns. I just got a £329 Lumix TZ80 camera from my local store for £199 but no point posting as it's highly unlikely there will be others out there. It may be worth a browse if you're nearby though as the reductions are big, usual JL service incl 30 day return policy and electricals have a 2 year warranty. Good luck!

Very slow, with very few apps. Better buy Android with similar spec

Had one of these from JL clearance earlier in the year for £99: returned it because it was so heavy it defeated the purpose of a small, portable machine. There is also an issue with low sound volume on these. Not surprised they had several customer returns in their clearance but great price if it still suits you.

Bought one at full price a couple of months ago and have mixed feelings when comparing to my 15 inch laptop which is way past it's sell by date.
The keyboard seems fine, but I'm typing double and wrong letters far more than with my old one.
The cursor doesn't always want to stay still, and that's a huge problem when trying to hit the correct part of my screen when in a hurry to buy on ebay.
Every now and then it decides to underline huge bits of text as I write, when I don't remember wanting it to, but the underlining isn't sent.
I'm still happy enough with my machine, and at this price it's a bargain, but thought I'd mention my experiences in case it helps someone.

I manage IT for a small office ... and we have over the years used Sony, Dell, Asus, Toshiba and Lenovos.
The Lenovo's are by far the best machines we have had. Dell is a close 2nd. The others just dropped like flies after a year of use.

He nearly brought one, he didn't though. At least read the post properly if you want to be clever and mock people's language.

That'll be all the very few apps ever made to run on Windows... c'mon now, this is not Windows RT we're talking about here!

Windows is crap. That is why it is free now. This netbook is too slow for Windows. Wish it was Android

I bought one a few weeks ago from Argos for £90. It's not a MacBook Pro but for £69 it's an absolute steal. I use mine as a secondary computer and it'd be great for someone's first computer. Windows Store has Netflix and an app called Perfect Tube (3rd party YouTube app which works very well) so it's for entertainment purposes. Also works very well for Word processing and checking emails. For £69, 10/10; bet you can't find anything better for that price.

Popped into the Southampton store and there were none on display. One of the assistants went away and "found one" out back. On inspection, the screen had quite a few scratches / marks and was priced at 85.00.
On that basis, I declined and walked away

Considering it comes with a 2 year warranty and they go for a similar price on eBay with a 3 month warranty, it's still pretty good.
