I was on 60% off and 7 months in sky suddenly charge me £70 on top of usual bill and said “oh sorry we made a mistake and back charging you as the movies doesn’t get the 60% offer”

Partner was offered 60% off, and £25 credit, full price multiscreen. Just went for f+f sky q in my name.

I've only got offered 50% off, no credit and no discount on multiscreen, I was hoping to get more and 50% off multiscreen as well as its £12 a month full price

I got 50% off and £50 credit, rolling month contract but 12 month discount.

I cancelled two weeks ago - MyAccount through the Sky+ HD shows an offer for 60% off. I received a mailing yesterday offering 50% off. I am in no rush as I have Virgin too, so am just weighing up where to have my services.

Found the email, says 5 years.

I think I got an email from them saying they would continue the discount indefinitely.

I got the same offer few moths ago 60%, no credit. But when i was chatting to the sales rep I said that I knew other people getting credit as well. he then gave me 30 quid credit. So just ask, you may get more then me :smile:

I've kicked off my disconnection to Sky from 3rd of December, and I've just received a letter for 60% off for 12 month, no credit, i think its a 12 month contract. They said on the flyer do it by 21st november.

Shall I hold out for a better offer? Shall I wait till it physically disconnects?

sis in law was "off-line" for 3 months. She just got 60% off TV, £100 credit, full price multiscreen, 12 month contract.

Credits seem to be no longer offered. But 60% off TV and 50% off multiscreen with no further commitment, still available.

I tried to get sky, but the best they would offer is £68 per month, and £50 install.

Has anyone ever figured out if you can get SkyQ on a come back deal like this?

I cancelled today because of the SkyQ MSE offer - i want that, even if i have to wait a year of no sky for it!

Anybody else got a letter from Sky asking them to contact them to repay the credit balance on their account? Credit balance is from the £100 free credit offer and account is still active with the monthly subscription coming out of the credit balance each month.

Yep absolutely right j1mgg. Have got some footy with BT but not near enough. Sky completely shaft you with their football packages and there is little or no way round it realistically. So for me its Match of the Day and little else.

​That may work if you aren't into watching football, but if you do watch football then sky is sadly the only way to get alot of it legally. Even worse now it is split between bt and sky sports.

Always looks tempting but if you go beyond the trial period you are looking at quite substantial yearly costs, £600 plus. There is so much free stuff out there you really do need to do a reality check and ask "do I really need this ?, how often do I even watch the box ?. I dropped them years ago but kept my Sky box for the free channels. Also have Freesat/Freeview and Internet streaming. Lotsa dosh saved. Now to try and get rid of BT and their mega expensive landline charges.

ok so it went on a while but ive settled for 60% off full package (no movies). 50% off Hd. 75£ credit and a rolling contract. my broadband has been upgraded to fibre unlimited but is free rather than 10 a month. they wouldnt wriggle on 17.40 line rental but im still in contract till june. unlimited calls. 40 quid a month, probably couldve done better but thats a great saving for me :-)

today im up to 60% off tv and sports 50% off broadband. im holding out for credit now haha

my contract ended on the 18th of august, first week I had 50% off the 2nd week I had the 60% plus 75 credit, so just give it a couple of weeks, if still nothing just keep using live chat saying I wish to take 60% plus credit and see what they say , if they offer nothing just try the next day, while doing that also keep tabs on the "left sky in the last 12 months" to see what you have on offer,

i cancelled yesterday. ive been on a 50% main and sports package for the last year but paying full price for hd. im currently on free broadband for a year which is terrible and i want to upgrade to fibre. im paying 17 40 a month line rental. i cancelled via live chat and was offered 20% off for 5 years :-/ so i went through cancellation and soon as i had got off live chat i downloaded the app and there was 50% off (except hd) for a year. im gunna hold out this time for better than 50%. im happy enough to live without sky for a bit i just wondered how long these better deals take.??

if your thinking of taking up the offer on your account, DONT, go to live chat and ask for a rolling contract, as the account offer comes with a 12 month contract, just state you wish to take the account offer up but on a rolling contract only,. that's what I did:) so you still get the offer but with no contract:)

yeah, it is just credited to your account and monthly bill is deducted from this until it runs out and you start paying. We never paid for 3 months, and then a partial payment from the bank, then full debits.

They use the credit for your 1 month in advance payment and another payment after that (that's if you manage £100 credit). That's what theyve done for me. So I signed up yesterday and I won't be paying a bill until November :smile:

I did this last night around 10pm. Variety bundle + sports and cinema pack + 1 multiscreen. £39.20 and £100 credit! :grin: they initially offered £75 then £80 for loyalty ...when I questioned why someone I knew was offered £100 for the same deal they gladly added £100 credit to my account. My sky tv is already up and running this morning as I already had the boxes still connected :smile:

don't forget to log in every few days by clicking my sky then the "left sky in the last 12 months" you should get a decent offer the longer your out of contract

cancelled my sky today via phone. the best offer they could give over the phone was 44 pounds a month for the family bundle, sky sports and HD. Downloaded the sky service app as some suggested here, and there it gives me 50% off TV to stay.. Will wait for few weeks to see if someone calls me with the super offers posted here :smile:

its just a 30 day contract,but the offer is valid for 12 months, but you can cancel at anytime I,m just using up the free credit (£75) , then i'll prob cancel, then wait for the next offer on my account, or through the post:)

that's why I didn't take up the offer online through my account, if I did that comes with a 12 month contract, just go to live chat, and say I,m not willing to take out a 12 month contract and you want a rolling contract, that's what I did anyway

just to confirm those who have the online offer, you can go to live chat ,and get it on rolling contract, rather than sign up to a full 12 month contract, worked like a charm, when I asked I would like a rolling contract...if it don't work first time try again with a different chat person later.

you may want to ask for email confirmation that its a rolling contract, incase they turn around at a later date stating its infact a 12 month contract, always best to cover yourself

Just had a phone call from sky left in June 60% off complete package £27.50 month plus £100 credit no contract so the offers are still out there.

Same here, although we've just taken out the Sky Q silver for £12 per month as a new account/house move instead. The sports for £19 plus the £75 credit is better than we had on the original offer but fancied trying Q instead

Had that same offer last year.
Think ours went off the end of May, plenty of flyers through the door offering 50% off but nothing more. Then received a new customer flyer today offering exactly the same lol

I had to do the 50%£50 deal because my wife wasn't at all happy at the idea of being without Sky TV & her blessed Series Links for a single moment, regardless of the financial advantages inherent in pursuing a better deal, right up to the 31 day cancellation period, or even beyond!
Got a 10 month 30 day rolling contract at the 50% price so I'll need to put in at 9 months to cancel again.
Tbh it's cheaper than the original New Customer deal we got last year, as we get £50 credit which equates to roughly a month & a third in costs so paying for less than 9 months of the 10 month contract.
It's a great deal, just not the one we're all after!

Just had a call from sky after being without sky for 3 weeks and they offered me 60% off any sky tv package, no contract and £50 credit. The guy said £50 was the maximum credit they can offer at the moment, but was happy with the offer after other previous calls only offering 50% off for 10 months on a 12 month contract and no credit!

You will see on here people reporting getting that since then - it may be the offer keeps reappearing as a new offer on their system, so they can say it expired. From memory of comments on here and elsewhere different call centres/agents have a certain number of offer codes available and once gone the offer is no longer available to them to offer - so pot luck from the customer perspective.

Just for the code from mse so is half price sports and 70% off family pack etc... Even though hd is full price now at £6. Just need a new dish installed tbh anyway to do this with tcb lol

just a note I asked for 60% plus £100 credit the other day and they said that offer ended on the 3rd of june , so not sure if it did or they just playing hard ball, just keep trying you never know you may get lucky with one of the chat people

yup that's what I did I had 60% plus £100 credit last year, sadly its come to and end yesterday, so hoping for one of the flyers to come through the door with similer offer, (just make sure you got marketing turned on in your account) if not I will keep on with live chat :smile: not in a rush to have it back

sadly not if you cancel you lose the £50 free credit, sky will also confirm this to you if you ring and decide to cancel, all it is, is an incentive to keep you, not £50 free cash as such, its just a credit

Took the 50% off the tv pack with £50 bill credit on a rolling contract last Friday, couldn't get them to go to the 60% I had with them last year.
They wouldn't discount multi room but did 50% off for the hd pack.

I'm getting nowhere with them.
50% off and £50 bill credit is the best they will go to on the live chat for me. Tried 3 people now and all the same. They obviously save the chat logs as well as one referred back to the other log and just reiterated the best they could do.

Signed up for a new 12 month contract, The number that called me was 08007830111. Turned down the 50% off +£50 credit offered quite a few times on chat for the past few weeks, Played the waiting game and it just paid off!!

It depends on if you have signed up to a new 12 month contract - some have, while others remain on a rolling contract so could cancel again if they wanted.

Is there anything stopping you from giving notice and cancelling via usual one month's notice period if your account gets credited with say the £50 that's been mentioned?

I have just cancelled my mother in laws as £32 for only Variety is outrageous! I declined his extremely generous offer of 20% for the next twelve months. I Installed the Sky Service app straight after the call entered the details of the account and was instantly offered 35%. Still no bite from me, I checked the app for a couple of days and it was still 35% however I uninstalled/reinstalled the app entered details etc and was offered 50% I cancelled on Sunday so after an initial 20% 4 days later I'm up to 50% and still have three weeks of checking for better. It's a far easier way than chat for me :grin:

I got the 60% plus £100 credit earlier this year and didn't switch multi room back on. In the past month I have had two mailings from Sky offering multi room for £3 per month for 12 months.may therefore be worth holding out for multi room if you can.

father just got 60% off sky sports , cinema and family bundle. had to pay for price for multiple room through. so close to original poster deal.

I accepted the 50% on Variety and £50 credit and on a rolling contract. Once the credit is used will review matters in the future. I was tempted by Sky Cinema but may just opt for Now TV for that.
