Massive savings on the Nvidia GTX 9 series GPU's. On overclockers they have many reduced down to just £399.99. Most lines still showing in stock. Obviously due to the release of the GTX1080's. Might help someone out who is in the market for a new GPU. Enjoy!

Why not just buy a 1070?
Mine cost me £387 and I sold my 980ti for £390 a few weeks ago.
I'm using the same settings and getting pretty much the same fps. I see the 1070 as more future proof, so I traded up and spent my £3 wisely (probably went towards a KFC).

Is this a serious question? I've got the 970 and I play all games at native 4K and maxed out usually. It's understandably a picture that is streets ahead of what the ps4 can do and the new upgraded ps4 won't get anywhere near the graphics I can get. My PC is only a mid range gaming rig. So the new cards like the 1070 and 1080 should be even better. The prices of the 970 should fall. It's going to be future proofed for a few years yet and way better value than the 980. I'll be interested in the 1070 next year when the price falls.. The 1080 for me is an unnecessary luxury.
But Ben the 970 is way ahead of any current console and their new versions if you want to play at native 4K

I own a Titan X & this card is pretty much the same as my Titan X, only difference is VRam. Of course the '10s' are new and better, but the question is will you be gaming at 1080, 1440? Realistically speaking if you've done your research you know no card is really ready to crack the 4K mark yet.
If I had an option for 980Ti or 1070 well I'd purely get the 10 series not because 980Ti is bad, not at all but because what can 10 series offer, because last I checked the difference in FPS were very little. Just a general overview I know it might not be very helpful.

I currently have a 980ti, if i was to get another 980ti (for cheaper than a 1080) i would then have 2x980ti's which would be way more powerful than 1 1080.
If i sold my 980ti i wold only get like £300, a 1080 is around £600 meaning i would have to pay £300 more for the 1080, i could just get another 980ti for £400 instead. i know about SLI issues but most modern games support it fine.

Cold. £20 more than a 1070 which has been shown to outperform it. "But an overclocked 980Ti will beat a 1070" - So overclock the 1070, too. Buy a 1070 when the price settles to around £330-350ish in a couple of months. If you can't wait til then, buy a 1070 now. The 980Ti is a great card, yes, but it's old and doesn't have the newer features of the 10X0 series.

Did you read my post?
I said I knew fine well the new cards were due. I also said they were due several months AFTER the VR HMD's became available. I can afford the updates and wasn't willing to wait (waited years for commercial release already!) or compromise.
Besides, just because the new cards are better, doesn't mean the older ones instantly become junk. The 980ti is still a damn powerful card. Just not as powerful as the newer ones. Obviously. I've run both Rift and Vive on it and everything has run fast and flawless. Which is what I wanted. You pays your money, you takes your choice.
As I say, I'll upgrade to a 1080 in a few months and punt the 980ti for whatever I can get for it on the bay of dreams.
Will I lose a bit of cash on the deal? Yes.
Did I know this when I bought the 980ti? Yes.
Can I afford all this? Yes.
Therefore, do I care? No.

pretty sure the gtx 1070 is faster or equal (depending on the scenario) than the 980ti and the founders edition is running at a similar price (meaning the normal release in a month or two will be even cheaper). Due to the massive tech improvements in the 1070 and 1080 it's probably a bad idea to purchase anything in the 980, 980ti and titan lines since they run similar prices but our now older tech. If you want to spend this much, buy a 1070 or wait for bigger price drops in the coming months on these kinds of cards.
