It's very easy to cancel Now TV. It's not like Sky where you have to either call someone or go on Live Chat; a few clicks and it's done.

yup - just enable developer mode (it is just an up up down down sort of key combo - google it) and then point your downloaded plex program at the player when it's linked to your network to sideload it. You can only have one app sideloaded at a time, I have FilmOn

I've found it excellent value for money.

Bought this on the weekend. Even if it says £24.99 on the shelf like mine did, it will still scan through at £13.99 without having to click and collect.

Maplin are selling the exact same thing for only £10 each m. for anyone that doesn't have a viable Currys/PC World nearby, etc?. :-)
Only 720p poor resolution. Sky hardware restriction limit on the Roku box . Unless someone can mod it and remove restriction to full 1080p or 4k, very poor picture.

That is a better deal, but Craplin's online stock levels and store availability are shocking.

The 6 months version of this is fairly regularly on sale for £19 at Tesco & Amazon. Not really seeing the deal here, sorry.

Lol! We cancelled sky as use NowTV instead multi room for free on 2 devices and massively cheaper!
As for cancelling it's never taken me more than 30 seconds.
Why people still have sky and don't use now tv I don't know.

I do agree with you, but there are many perks of having Sky over Now TV, such as live channels in HD, Sky+ pause, record and rewind, a much bigger On Demand and Box Set library (providing you're on the Family Bundle), and Sky Q (providing you can afford it!).

I found it a bit of kerfuffle at first, I couldn't find the cancel option very easily, but it was simple after that. Didn't think Sky Movies was worth £10 a month, but they offered it for £4 when you try to leave, so can't complain.

Can you run plex on these?

Well I suppose they'll have to offer something extra when they charge an additional £50/month plus for the above privileges.

the good thing about cancelling NowTV subscriptions is that it doesn't take effect immediately - you get what you've paid for (eg 3 months Entertainment Pass)

Who would want to watch 720p resolution? Unless you don't care about picture quality and just listen to the Audio. BT and Sky are both coming with 4k boxes. I do care about picture and sound quality otherwise many movies can be found for free on you tube and Kodi.

Bearing in mind how far my TV is from my face, I don't have good enough eyes to see that it is "poor" resolution. Lucky me I suppose.....

i bought 2 boxes from the clacton store and a bloke called saf who served me put 1 box through for £10, i said can i have another for £10 as well and he said yes... i said how do you do that and he said he looked for deals on the screen and there was one for £10, so £20 for 2 boxes and 4 months worth of movies!!
