Two kingdoms are on the brink of war – and you must decide whose side to take in Fire Emblem Fates for Nintendo 3DS family systems. As a Hoshidan prince raised by Nohrian royals, you’re torn between two families. The path you choose determines the fate that awaits you and the army you lead. Command them with expert precision and form stronger relationships in this ambitious turn-based strategy game.
For the first time ever, your customised avatar is the main hero. An army of knights, mages, archers and more are at your command for the most challenging battles in the series' history. Each unit and weapon has strengths and weaknesses that you must balance against the foes they face. Partner your allies on the battlefield so they can support one another in combat. Building relationships is key – the closer your allies become, the better they’ll fight together.
Customise a male or female main character and command your own army
Choose between two warring kingdoms, each of which offers a completely different storyline with unique characters
On the Hoshido path, work together with your allies to fend off Nohrian invaders
On the Nohr path, revolutionise an unruly kingdom from the inside

Purchased the Fire Emblem Fates 3DS and didn't read the details.
Was annoyed with myself as I didn't receive the game pre-installed which I presumed I would. I'll have to buy it at this price.
Thanks Buzz.

From my understanding this is for regulars of this genre and Birthright is for beginners? Is that right? Never played a game like this so I think I'll hold off if the above is true. Great price though, have some heat

birthright is the easier game but its not really for beginners as such granted its easier than conquest, but birthright can still be a challenge but their are different difficulties, if you have never played these before use casual difficulty

Has the 10% discount code expired? Every time I try to enter it on The Game Collection's website, I get the message:
Coupon code "E3HANGOVER" is not valid.
Still, sub-£20 is pretty good for a new key Nintendo release.

Shame. Never mind though as still a great price that won't be replicated anywhere else anytime soon.
Finally got this and Awakening this week. Time to fall in love with Fire Emblem once again.

How impossible/unfair is this?
I thought Birthright was hard enough at times with permadeath on

think of birthright as normal and this as hard difficulty

I personally found Birthright on Normal with permadeath on pretty straightforward.
But yeah I found Conquest with the same settings much more difficult in comparison.
Consider Casual mode if you lost a few units in Birthright.

okay so better to get dlc than hard copy of both? i dont mind playing extra, didn't know if your avatar stays the same. I'm nearly done with birthright and would rather have hard copy of conquest, but I'll get dlc if thats the way to do it. great game and deal btw

29 Jun 16#31
you have to have a hardcopy of one or bought it from the eshop to access the others. granted you could buy both but thats wasting money. you will still need to buy the last story as DLC, im not sure but sure its easier just too get the other as DLC. sure that gives you options to start from which faction you will join

or you could just get this and get birthright as DLC for £15. as it best to play all three storeys for full effect
