Great price and a great product. I just don't see the point in it. Why would you want to charge 10 things in the same place at the same time??

I've got 2 kids.... school ipads, tablets and phones account for 6 ports at night .... makes sure they are on charge and not being played with in the bedrooms. Then there is an array of speakers, cameras, spare batteries, battery packs, go pro, torch, e cigarette etc etc .....

You must have 10 plugs to spare...

I've got the 5 port one and back when I bought it I thought I would never use up all the ports. I guess some people may need that many ports, e.g. Phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth earphones, portable charger, tablets, action cams/go pro and so on.
Also, these are great for holidays because you don't need all the separate wall plugs with the added benefit of the long cable

We use them at work for charging all the driver's phones

I think the philips one at Argos posted on here a few days ago is better. It even comes with 2 good quality cables (lightening and micro usb). It gives 8A across 5 usbs (or 1.6A per usb if 5 devices are being charged at the same time).
Don't know if things have changed but had two anker multi USB chargers, both units had several of the ports fail, still use power block though

I had this on a couple my 5 port charges.
One was within the year and one just outside.
I managed to get them both replaced for newer models.
I found out after that the problem was resolved on at least one of them if I left it unplugged for a while the failed ports reset themselves.

Contact Anker customer service they will replace them, they have a pretty much no quibble guarantee on all their kit. I had a Anker Lightning cable fail after 12 months and they still replaced it.

I've not long ago had 1 of the ports of my 5 port charger fail so looked how long I had had it as it didn't feel like that long but it was 19 months and they guarantee for 18!
I typically use 3 of the ports so I just moved 1 of my cables to 1 of the others.
Not ideal 1 has failed but not a big issue and no doubt once the kids get older and have more devices I will end up replacing it anyway.

I find the device below very useful for checking failed USB ports on devices like these; it even tells you the max current supplied when a device is plugged in to the other end; also very useful to confirm dud USB cables.
Can pick one up for about 3 quid delivered from China if you have the patience, a tad more from Amazon or the Bay for UK stocks:
These Anker chargers work great at beginning then they start charging at snail pace then each port will eventually die. Be warned.

Can't knock service, though the replacement was second unit to fail, x4 ports in space of weekend, so knocked it on head. I now use RAV and its solid. Not knocking deal, as port failure was well documented with anker so you'd hope they'd fixed it

Also whilst charging it emits an annoying buzzing noise and the power cable that came with is ridiculously stiff too. Sorry Monday morning rant over have a good day.

I wish I could say that 10 ports is overkill, but having filled up a 5 port on a regular basis I can see why 10 could be useful!
As mentioned, flag it to Anker as their customer support is excellent. I had one that started buzzing, but it was the previous generation so they sent me a brand new one. Then I bought a second which buzzed on arrival, again it was instantly replaced. I know what you mean about the stiffness of the power cable though, I use an older lead that has gone a little soft.
Yep, I've had this a couple of times too. Both times having it unplugged sorted it out. I have no idea why unplugging it does help, I guess it's a bit more electrickery than just a simple charger.

I had the same problem, opened it up and could see that the cause of the buzzing was electrical arching on the solder pins of the 240v supply!! Re-flowed that and all is good now. Seems a combination of poor soldering and badly designed mechanical support of the AC supply socket was to blame.

I've gone and used all 5 ports of my desk's charger, though only temporarily. Smartwatch, a second phone as I'm switching sims atm, tablet, USB powered DAC, plus USB/bluetooth headphones. Could honestly do with more ports.

You would get up to 2.4A with the Anker, or overall 12A across all 10 ports. So if charging 10 devices at the same time, you would get 1.2A per port.

Bought a few 5port ones a few years back, all of them failed in the same way. Luckily they have 18month warranty. I contacted Anker as soon as one port filed and all were replaced within a week with a newer model. Fingers crossed the new model has been running almost constantly for a few years with on average 3devices plugged in (phones, tablets, chargers).
Did experience some of the ports getting knocked out, but suspect it was as result of a dodgey cable/device. Unpluggging the charger and plugging it in again seems to have reset it and up and running again.
Can't fault Anker. Tried other companies, some are still solid, but found customer service with theirs is not as good.

does this also act as usb hub?

It does not as there is no USB port on the other side, only a plug.

I have the 8-port version (as Amazon sent me a faulty USB power adapter for my 7 inch Fire tablet), my only problem with it is that is does say it does "fast charging", but my Galaxy S6 Edge+ says otherwise, which is a shame, but at least I can charge 8 batteries all at once.

If that is a joke then... lol
If not then ...... Really!
60w = power of a small lightbulb on the mains side & 5v DC (ie you can put the wires in your mouth without hurting yourself ) on the output side ..... Not exactly a frightening amount of power is it!
You're more in danger cooking some toast.....
It's more about quality than quantity with electronics..... If your charging all the cheap "original" stuff from China then you need to worry...

Dont see the point of a 10 port charger. What is the likelyhood of charging 10 devices at the same time.
