Seems like a steal at this price if you are a fan of series.
Claims to be in stock.
Note: Read the reviews on steam before purchase as they are quite mixed as the game appears to have been abandoned by the developer. But for £3.49 I think its worth a punt.

I think the game looks fantastic. Look at all of rhe other fighting games for comparison not Far Cry 4 etc.
BTW what do you do with all those high end specs? I have a STRIX 970 i7 with 8GB and I have more than enough to run everything at 1080p 60fps at max settings. Still tempted with upgrading to a GTX1080 though just because it exists now.

Perhaps awful is overly harsh, but they're certainly not what I expected from a game made in mid-2015 :/ judging by other games I have played over the last year, of course
That is one hell of a set up, can't afford anywhere near that atm ^^ I do have everything maxed and easily hit 60fps, often quite alot more, I currently have i5 6600k OCed, 4GB gtx 970, 16GB DDR4 RAM, m.2 Samsung Evo SSD, 1TB HDD, fan cooled, but alot of fans xD enver hits above 50c even at peak usage

Have you got everything maxed? Awful seems like a strong word, but its subjective so I guess agree to differ. Btw, 2xGTX 980TI SLI i7-5960X OC'd 8x4.4GHz 64GB DDR4 liquid cooled.

I have a 4GB gtx 970 with an OCed i5 6600k and great cooling, its running well, sure, but the graphics (apart from the death cinematics) are awful for a 'next gen' game

Bought this just now and installed, terrible game imo, graphics aren't even that great
Mind you at 3 quid what do you expect? I hate it but its less than a pint in London xD

Hi minicale. Certainly so, not every single match, however I'd say that Netherrealm wouldn't invest so much in redoing the netcode for PvP without a legitimate reason. It's wasn't just a quick change or alteration either. I remember the beta where they had to bring characters in a bit at a time as they were rewritten.

Bargain for the price

Would this be worth getting for the single player and playing against my brother on local multiplayer (or is it online only)?
Last game like this I tried was tekken 3 on the ps2 or something, so I won't lose any sleep if I don't get it, but the reviews seem to be targeted at the devs being bad devs, but not much about if the game is good or not in its current state.

The game is excellent. My favourite of all the current fighting games including SFV.
Definitely worth £3.50. The story is pretty good and offline mode is great with 2 players.

I pre-ordered MKX before release so went through all the launch day issues, bought the Kombat Pack 1 only for WB/Neverealm to give me the middle finger and stop any further PC updates. They only informed us all when they released details about Kombat Pack 2 and didn't include a PC release date for it. After the shambles of Arkham Knight launch and this I swore I'd never buy a WB game for PC again. Now I have to double dip on the PS4 version of MKXL.
So basically, if you wan't a cheap 1P version of the game to play through the story and practice online then this is awesome for £3.50. If you want to get seriously into it then get MKXL for the PS4 or XB1 version.

The online is not laggy at all unless you play against people that are from far away.
I imagine that this may be the case in your experience as there isn't a big player base but I played this with several friends and had no issues at all.

Be prepared for the 50-60gb download before you can play this.

Dev support, been left to the wasteland of bugs n glitches

PC version won't ever get Kombat Pack 2 or anything after. KP2 is 4 extra characters, xenomorph, leatherface, Bo rai Chu and triborg (the last having 3 distinct variants - sektor, cyrax and smoke(cyborg version not smoke from previous games).
It also will not have the redone netcode to address the obvious lag you can get in PvP play.
All in all its angered allot of the community to drop support of the PC version and I have no idea what the popularity of the PvP is like nowadays on PC.
I'd advise this version of the game for people who want a very cheap single player experience with hardly any extra content.

Not my cup of tea but the game is worth it at this price. WB have just acted like twaats but it isn't new from them.

Great for quick blasts with a friend, but probably better getting console versions since (as stated) the PC version is essentially abandonware.
