Do you think? I personally rate ASDA for beef over all the other supermarkets. Don't get me wrong, their fruit and veg is bordering on the diabolical, but their steak is superb. And I really have tried them all, even done a side by side at home with Morrisons vs ASDA vs Tesco vs Sainsburys. OK Waitrose steaks are great but they;re like double the price. It's always surprised me how good ASDA meat is.

Morrison's definitely have the best fresh fish though..(again, save for Waitrose)..

The fish counter in all our local stores stink. As soon as you walk in the door it hits you. I always thought fish shouldn't smell that strong. I like their bakery though, good bread, pies etc. Although they are northern so I'd expect the pies to be good.
your lucky - our store had 4 in & all gone by 8.30am - probably to staff

Picked up some Extra Special rump steaks in ASDA earlier £3 a piece. They were on the front of the meat aisle, so I would imaging it's nationwide. They're usually about £6 depending on the weight.
thanks op - just picked up some from Herne bay store!!! eldest daughter has just finished GCSEs so had promised her a celebratory steak :-)

I doubt I am the only one that thinks so too.
They source their own meat and most of it is slaughtered in their own premises too, unlike any of the others.
I am no fan of Morrison's for much else though, it's my nearest supermarket, but I rarely shop there!

It clearly states £16 per kg on the website.

17 Jun 16#35
That's at £4 per single pack.
2 for £5 = £5 for 1/2 kilo = £10 kilo.

Best to get your meat from a local butcher then you don't have to visit Morrisons, Asda, Tesco or Sainbury's and leave Waitrose and M & S for special treats. Well worth the extra, and I do appreciate some people can't afford to buy proper food but Hey Ho.

Expired, not advertised and staff never heard of the deal! Maybe a dodgy store though.
I shop at all the supermarkets and Morrisons are top class for their meat and cold meat and the bakery is first class the salt and pepper rolls are to die for when it comes to meat Morrisons first Lidl second Aldi third

It is 10/kg which is cheaper than Tesco at £12.21 Asda at £12.58, and Sainsburys is just having a laugh at £20 for their cheapest!
To be fair, Morrisons is by far the better of the supermarkets as far as meat is concerned too.
..........................even though I've been a vegetarian for years. :stuck_out_tongue:
Consider wrists smacked!
I bet these taste ten times better too!
