Agreed, Erbauer are very good, but the most important thing for extending the life of a drill bit is to run it at the correct speed and pressure for the type/diameter of the drill bit and the material you're cutting - and learn how to resharpen it properly!

I have used dewalt and bosch.. still like new.. but buy the decent stuff. you will not regret it.
I am sure there are others here far more experienced than myself, I would defer to their opinion. I'm thier absence, you have my recommendations.
I also found aldi /lidl stuff not too bad. remember it will have a decent warranty.

Whats a good brand of drill bits? I could do with some better masonry bits and some pozi bits that don't wear off.... thoughts?

the ebauer drill bits are ok for all but the hardest jobs and wera driver bits are always top quality

This isn't professional quality at all. Makita do themselves a disservice by advertising as 'pro quality' I own one of their 'pro' accessory sets, the pozi bits wore very quickly, and the masonry drills blunted on first use. Use the price as a good guide to the lack of durability.

Had one, to be honest, total rubbish. the Hex screwdriver bits are too short for and use, drill bits are poor quality. There are about 10 pieces which are of any use....
sorry, this is a poor deal.
