I will remove this offer as it has already been posted and the Tooolstation twin pack is better.

After buying the LIDL drill i made the following video to show how powerfull it is. I was really impressed with the drill and its well worth £39.99. It also has 3 years warranty and you can buy extra batteries for £15.95 from grizzly tools. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1jIKFqrREE

Bought this for £148 at B&q last bank holiday. Probably still at that price. Check B&q b4 buying this that's my advise.

For anyone that holds a B&Q Tradepoint account, they are selling the Makita Combi-Drill 18v 2x3.0Ah batteries (think it's the same drill) for £116+VAT. Fantastic piece of kit for the price and well worth it if you have access to their Trade account.

I am not certain .. but.
I don't think the BnQ ones are the same, The batteries are different I think. and not as good.

Your mistaken, its not a Makita LXT range, thus the LXT batteries are not compatible.

Yes, Toolstation have a more powerful set of Makita drills for £10 more. I would buy them.

I love my Makita kit and the fact the batteries power so many different tools, garden equipment makes things so convenient. It's a shame the charger isn't the twin version but I guess it would probably make the price more expensive. Heat added.
agreed! its not a bad deal but its roughly the right price for a makita entry level 42nm drill with a 3ah battery and a 160nm impact driver with a 3ah battery and case, i wouldn't say it's £80 of savings.
screwfix also have a bosch blue 4ah on offer for £99

Yep, I posted this very same thread a week prior to this one, why this threads been allowed to stay beats me....
But I totally agree, I now realise the Toolstation twin pack is a better buy, well worth the extra £10 for 2 superior drills.

Bought one of these just yesterday. Never had a cordless impact driver but this is SO much more efficient and less effort than a drill/driver, and no rounded heads.
Very happy with the quality, they aren't the lightest but this is reflective of the build quality. Batteries last ages and charge in no time (22 mins) so you'll never be caught short!
If you are worried about weight (and really, these aren't heavy anyway) you can grab a 2ah battery that is 300g lighter than the supplied 3ah for £22 from most retailers. (Mikita on amazon for example)
