Capturing the soul of the Nexus family, the 5X offers top-line performance in a compact, lightweight device that's ready to go anywhere, anytime. Beneath the 5.2-inch display is a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor for world-class speed at an affordable price.

The best all-around camera ever put into a Nexus shines in low-light conditions. Its larger 1.55μm pixels capture more light even in the dimmest conditions to produce stunning details and sharp images. With a faster Google Camera app, you'll never miss a moment, and with the smart Google Photos app, your memories are easy to relive and always at your fingertips.

Google Photos is a new way to store, search, and share all your photos and videos. Store an unlimited amount of photos and videos at high quality for free, and access them anywhere. Automatically organized and searchable by the people, places, and things in them, your memories are always easy to find and share.

Your Nexus is quicker and more secure with a fingerprint sensor. Placed on the back of your device to complement the way you naturally hold it, Nexus Imprint will turn on your screen with one touch, unlock your apps quickly and easily, and let you breeze through checkout lines. And, by incorporating measurements each time you use it, Nexus Imprint gets smarter with every touch.

The USB Type-C charger is reversible, which means no more guessing which way is up. And it's fast—get almost four hours of use after only ten minutes of charging.

it's a great phone and you can turn a profit which is nice, I would say the only drawbacks are a more washed out screen compared to your iphone and not as solid build quality. buy it and use it for a week or so before you sell your iphone just in case you get withdrawal I know I did when I got my iPhone 6 plus after having a note 4

No, 16gb isn't enough now. By the time I have all my Nokia Here maps loaded, music, videos, apps games...... No 16gb should be a thing of the past. Different story if their is a SD card slot. As 6.0 can now use SD cards as integrated storage

When I see a comment from somewhere who doesn't understand the difference between 'their' and 'there', I immediately dismiss their comments as nonsense. 16gb is plenty, people are just wasteful.

according to the spec it has all the UK 4g bands so should be the European model but I would email them and ask, I ordered one from eBay and had to cancel it because it was the hongKong version didn't mention it in the listing at all :-/

Be careful buying from EGlobal. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab from then and they advertised it as a UK version. I then received shipping info from China, when it arrived it was a chinese version which is not covered by Samsung European warranty. The box had also been openned and the contents tampered with.

When people give bad reviews on the company through "trustpilot" and other review sites they always get them taken down so there customer satisfaction stays (falsely) high.

This is the H791 model which is the International version and covers the most band widths. Best to avoid the H790 which is for North America and the H798 for China and Hong Kong as these have much more restrictive bandwidths. This comes with a European plug for the charger so eGlobal include an adapter as standard.
Many will say don't buy from eGlobal (they are after all based in Hong Kong) as the phone will be a grey import which means that any warranty repair will not be carried out by Google here and the phone will have to be sent to Hong Kong. But just ask yourself how many mobiles develop a fault? The odds are good that you will have no problems.
From personal experience (might just have been lucky) I have had no problems with them. This is a good if not great deal and is worth the risk IMO.

WARNING! I bought a Nexus 5X from EGlobal on the 6th June (currently using it to write this message) it actually took an entire month to deliver. After contacted customer support multiple times I threatened them with a complaint to trading standards and they despatched the very next day, coincidence?? However I've been using the phone the last few days and I love it, my 4G is working and the phone is truly wonderful especially at this price. Just be aware it may take a long time to get delivered.

I have not read the seller name and voted hot.
when I opened and saw e global central... I got disappointed as I had previous twice bad experience with same seller. note 4 never shipped and have to claim my money back from my credit card company. never ever trust this site. no call center, if you try contact them via email they reply after a week or so and their reply is completely nonsense.
I think hukd should ban this seller.
it's just waste of time.

Cold for a dodgy seller.
It will take days or weeks for delivery - if u don't get a cancellation email
You may get additional import taxes.
You may get another version of the phone without UK 4g bands.

I didn't find anything wrong with the seller. I have ordered Nexus 5X 32GB for £198 from them and I have my hands on the phone on the 6th working day, delivered by DPD. It's good price, but I advice anybody to go for 32GB.

I bought this from eglobal. Shipped to me in about 7-8 days. It a genuine product, everything works great. I left giffgaff and currently using it with a BT mobile sim only plan (free £80 amazon voucher). It does come with a chinese plug, but they provide a converter with it so charges fine.

I've also used their customer services and they respond in a timely manner.

Nothing bad to say about them TBH, good price considering its £300 in the UK shops.

With regards to the warranty, it doesn't have a typical google warranty but eglobal offer a 12 month warranty whereby you can send them your phone and they will fix/replace it, althought I haven't tested yet as i've only had the phone for a week.

If anyone is interested I say go for it, I'm very happy with the purchase and the money i've saved.

Any questions, let me know.

Unfortunately it probably will...
All three in my house have now gone bad in the exact same way.. random reboots, followed by eventual memory corruption leading to boot fails.. Its caused by the battery.

I gave up swapping batteries (which is actually fairly easy, but its getting hard to get genuine replacements now) and moved to a Nexus 5X.. and whilst the fingerprint reader is awesome and screen leagues better... for everything else.. the N4 is a better phone. (I miss Qi charging badly)

I'm not an iPhone owner or fan....but IMO, the iPhone SE is a far nicer looking phone;

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/iphone-SE-2.jpg

It's the long black camera bar that ruins the Nexus for me. Just makes it look unbalanced

I guess it's all v.subjective though -- and if the rest of the phone works brilliantly, then I don't suppose looks really matter too much.

Assuming this phone ordered from this company may not have a warranty and you are happy with 16GB internal storage and no card slot, I would suggest a better buy would be the Meizu MX4 Pro. Slightly more limited 4G bands and no effective warranty but specs wise it's an absolutely unbelievable bargain for as little as 107 spondoolics.

Well, I guess it comes down to what you're used to - I am used to having 80GB or more of storage. I often use my phone to cast video to screens and if I go on holiday I may take 8-10 movies with me.

Moreover, it can depend on where you live. I'm a Londoner and I commute by tube. Try using cloud storage underground..... and this is where and when I get most of my 'me time' during the week. I don't want to turn that into a source of frustration because I fancy listening to an album that I couldn't store locally because I only have c9GB of storage.

I grant you, for some people 16GB is more than enough. I would have to make changes to make it enough. Seeing as there are many phones out there that do have MicroSD slots, I can't see the point in making that change ./ risking the frustration.

See my point?

It's all moot this 16Gb isn't enough/is enough anyway, everyone use their device differently. So no one can rightly say if it is or isn't enough, it's all down to the individuals preferences.

No additional taxes with this. eGlobal ship initially to their Manchester warehouse and from there the delivery is arranged to your home via DPD so it is just like any other internal UK delivery. I have bought from them with no problems at a fantastic price and this is a great phone. 16Gb suits me just fine - as mentioned above everyone has different opinions/requirements so it is up to you.

i wouldn't get the 5x. Bit tacky really and doesn't represent a good android phone in terms of build quality. Specs are decent mind

Can't believe this has gotten so hot - not so much for the phone, but the seller:confused:

Looks like HUKD has a nice deal going with them?

10 Jun 16 #113
Really? I thought individual members add the heat. Are you suggesting that the admins are inflating the votes to make this deal hotter than it should be... For an under the table cash price?

Both the Nexus 4 and 5X are built by LG. I have had both and the 4 was more premium with the glass back, but if you will put a case on it's less of an issue. The 5X has a top notch scanner, camera and processor, so I can recommend for the upper mid range user.
However I would not buy from this seller. God knows how this has got over 1000 heat. Icey cold it should be.
Buy from here for £227

Really? If I have say 40 or 50 albums or so that I listen to regularly on my underground commute in FLAC format (as I use an external DAC and Amp) how organised would I need to be to fit this c.11GB of data into the remaining 9GB. What a daft, patronising and condescending comment to make. More so from someone who has seemingly never been organised enough to post a deal.

16GB isn't enough *for me*. It's that simple; nothing to do with levels of organisation.

11 Jun 16 #120
Now if you found a time shopping device please pass it on to me... An average journey in London understand is around 50min... Average Length of an album is around... 50min... 2 albums worth of music each way (4 all together) is more than enough to fill in the daily commute. Also flac on the underground? With all the background noise if you can prove to me that you can hear the difference I'll be amazed

This has a lot of heat because it is a great deal and this is what this site is all about. You say you would not buy from this seller. Have you had a bad experience with them? Sure some people have and you see the same posters with the same remarks every time an eGlobal deal is posted. The fact is most have no problems with this seller and it is normal for them not to go on about it, however the dissatisfied, perhaps with just cause, make their feelings known. I have bought this phone from this seller without any problem other than a delay for stock arrival. I contacted them and received a reasonable response within 24 hours. This is as good as you can expect from the best of online sellers.
The phone is excellent and at this price a great bargain. The majority that order will be pleased but there will always be a small minority with issues regardless of the seller.

12 Jun 16 #123
I agree, HUKD is all about sharing great offers. The bad experiences customers have had shall be mentioned though, so that potential new customers can make up their mind. Good feedback is necessary to counterbalance and provide reassurance that buying from an online seller is a reasonably safe way to go. This looks like a real bargain: a phone from a trusted manufacturer with great specs. Heat added and I'm really tempted by this offer. Thanks for sharing!

And I am merely passing on all the bad experiences with this dodgy supplier, which is what HDUK is all about. Just a month ago the same phone and supplier has reports of terrible service.

You only need to check the forums and threads from this site! Buy at ur own risk.
I have this phone and it's great except for the lag. I bought a Nexus to get rid of the lagging too!

I bought a Nexus 5X 32GB from Argos a few days ago for £269.99. I feel like a mug now. I thought it was a good deal because it was £70 cheaper than Google's own store. The phone is great though.

You carry an external DAC and amp on your commute, why can't you just carry a dedicated MP3 player?
wenttoabetterplace
12 Jun 16 1 #128
Clearly, they value quality audio.
bigpappa
13 Jun 16 #129
So this or Xiami Redmi Note 3 Pro?

I use three at the moment.
bk201
13 Jun 16 #130
Thats what I do not understand. You value quality audio, but then play it on a mobile phone. I'm guessing that if you carry DAC and amp, you carry a large specialist audiophile headset too - so space in your backpack isnt the issue here. A dedicated Mp3/Mp4 player with a set of spare AA batteries would serve the purpose much better.

Other problems with this approach:
- if your phone battery is dead by 5PM (bluetooth, whatsapp, wifi, 4G, video calls etc will drain your battery over the course of the day), then you're in for a very boring commute;
- phone audio is crap, so if the sound source is crap, your DAC and amp are just a waste of money.
- upgrading your phone (this usually happens much more often than upgrading a media player) means having to transfer all your media, or using cloud sync for 80GB of your media
- losing your phone, water damage or being sim locked or password locked will mean you have a very boring commute

Each to their own, Im sure there are some good reasons for trying to use a phone as an audiophile device - I just cannot fathom what they are.

On a separate note, regarding this comment barbiegirl made about another poster: "What a daft, patronising and condescending comment to make. More so from someone who has seemingly never been organised enough to post a deal" - I would like to point out, that you do not have to be organised to post a deal on HUKD. You need to find a deal, have enough motivation to post it on the site and then race to get it posted before anyone else does - otherwise it gets marked as duplicate and deleted. I cannot imagine anyone having colour coded post it notes and a binded folder with a todo list, all eager and ready to post a deal on the site. Thats just not how it works, Barbiegirl.

No other importer seems be offering anywhere near this price, chances of this being Genuine Nexus?
Sevrat
13 Jun 16 #132
This is most definitely the genuine article. I have received mine just recently and it is the International version with a European plug for the charger. They do include a UK adapter in the package. The phone is brand new (not a refurb) and comes in a properly sealed package.
First impressions - great phone and what a bargain.
barbiegirl
14 Jun 16 #133
phone audio is crap, so if the sound source is crap, your DAC and amp are just a waste of money.

Well it seems that as well as being a bit patronising and condescending you don't really understand digital audio either. The whole point is that the phone passes a digital signal out over OTG and then the external DAC converts the signal into an analogue one that the dedicated amp can deal with. Dedicated isolated audio circuitry rather than the inherently compromised stuff inside a mobile phone. Further, the same DAC then plugs into a PC or Mac whilst at work so you don't have to suffer PC audio either. And last, but not least, the one I use (FiiO E18 Kunlun) is also a portable power bank / charger, so no dead phone as you cite, either.

You don't really seem very knowledgeable for someone giving such sure sounding opinions.

Nice phone, but 16GB :smirk:
Sevrat
14 Jun 16 #136
Adequate for me - everyone has different requirements from a smartphone and I find this OK. Previously managed with an 8Gb Nexus 4 although that was tight. Can always use an 'on the go' stick to listen to more music or watch films etc. Otherwise cloud works fine.
For many people it won't be enough but they just have to pay more for 32Gb version if Nexus phones important to them.

15 Jun 16 #138
I ordered the 32gb version on June 8th and it arrived yesterday.
Shipped from a UK company called "Trackbay Limited" based in Manchester according to the parcel.
Suprisingly for me from what other people have said is that the phone is model number LGH-791 which is the UK version, came in a sealed box with UK 3 pin charger inside.
I paid £200.04 for the 32gb version so very happy indeed!

How about warranty claim with this company???

since they sell / import from far east and so local LG UK manufacturer warranty would not cover the device i believe???

Any comments or anyone has real warranty claim experience with this seller???
wenttoabetterplace
15 Jun 16 #140
Did you not bother reading comment #138? Looks like the phones being sold are UK stock...so warranty will be fine.
princeprecious
15 Jun 16 #141
You missed the point here.

As per their web site the goods are imported in to UK by eglobal central and we can claim warranty only with them and not direct with Manufacturer i.e. LG etc.

However they now have facility unlike before for us customers to send warranty claim device to their UK office address at our cost which they will forwarded to Far East at their cost.

So my question is has anyone tried to claim warranty direct through manufacturer in UK instead of following above lengthy process of eglobal central.
wenttoabetterplace
15 Jun 16 #142
Yep, but if LG are anything like Samsung, Microsoft, Canon etc - then you don't need to provide proof of purchase; just the device serial number.
Since this is UK stock, you would almost certainly be eligible for UK warranty.
princeprecious
15 Jun 16 #143
Yes but unfortunately this is not the case as LG do need a Retailer Name and Date of Purchase.
With due respect I don't know why you keep guessing and replying this thread whereas I have clearly asked from someone who had an experience claiming a warranty.
I bet you have not bought from this seller either.
thank you for your time anyway.

phone ordered last Sunday and arrived today Monday (8days) , comes with uk adapter plug to euro socket (shaver type plug) then eu plug for type c USB socket, then "type c" 2 "type c" usb cable, a little cumbersome and have ordered proper uk plug from amazon for £12,
Saving £42 from today's deal direct from google add cot of £12 socket and u still save £30
win win, you could buy the £20 socket direct from google and save £22 instead.

NEVER buy from eGlobal. My phone developed a fault and they asked for it to be returned. It did. Confirmed no fault of my own and within 12 month warranty. And they're now holding it hostage and only offering half the phone's worth as store credit to be spent. RUBBISH COMPANY.
