Hi can I ask you if this TV has a built in sat tuner. It seems hard to tell, I can't find it listed in most shops as part of specs... I bought a 49" LG and it unexpectedly did have a satellite tuner built in despite being a "freeview HD" television. Thanks if you get the time to check.

Crazy statement. Who the hell buys a TV expecting to hold a second hand value to sell it in the future. Some people are just plain weird.

Most people are more likely to chuck it away when it goes wrong or give it away, the resale value of a TV or any consumer electronic device is the absolute last thing on my mind when making a buying decision.

For £200 this is a bargain assuming it works for a couple of years minimum and performs ok. For some people they'd pee away this sort of money of a night out with the lads or the missus.

When you come to sell, with no Freeview HD it will be worthless ......

I got one of these in the lounge for gaming. great TV for the price. there's one left in Sevenoaks btw.

Erm, I don't have one (or don't think I do) but I don't have an aerial, so what's the point in having Freeview or Freeview HD?
There are plenty of people out there who have no need for Freeview.

Got two LG TVs, one's being going 10 years with absolutely no problems and an LG Blu-Ray player being going 10 years also. Previously had another LG TV prior to that which I got rid of, but still worked 100%.
I'm probably now brand loyal to LG for audio-visual.

No one in their right mind would buy a non Freeview HD TV!!!!!

Got this in Lincoln 2 days ago. Was told it has Freeview HD by 2 members of staff and a print out 1 brought over. Got it home and it does NOT have Freeview HD. Took it back and got the Celcus 43" £190 which does have Freeview HD. Really good picture.

My experience is exactly the opposite. No problems with either the GPad 8.3 and the direct drive washing machine, and they are both long out of warranty.

I gave up buying LG products as they always seemed to break not long after their warranties expired. Just my experience. For £200 though its worth a punt I suppose. Not sure what the warranty is on this one and you could always take out an extended one.

That was for the 43LF510V, bigger screen, only one HDMI and one USB whereas this model has two of each, but a smaller screen.

The ao deal, now sold out, was £179 not £170...

I've just bought a Samsung 55" HD TV at a bargain price because everyone wants 4K .... I looked at the 4K's and I'm seriously not impressed when they try to upscale, the sharpness drifts in and out all the time - NAFF!

Better buys are the HD's by a country mile ....

sorry but with 4k tvs being so cheap I don't see the point in full HD anymore I would have jumped at this a year ago since then even LG 4k tvs have been going on sale for 200 to 300 pound mark

No, it is a known fault. Randomly switches off.
Even switching off Eco-mode does not work.
I have a 3S smart one in my bedroom.
Even without asking Amazon refunded 1/3 of the price after 1 year when I told them about issues.

Some LG's just switch themselves off.

Posted this a few weeks back for 30 quid less from AO, got cold, this comes up, hot all the way...this site makes no sense sometimes

I would like to alert people to the deal I got from John Lewis yesterday on a Samsung UE55J5500 .... amazing TV and, if you can find one on the shop floor (as I did) they will sell you it as a discontinued model for £385 .... yes, £385! This comes with their famous 5 year warranty of course. I also got them to throw in a SONY 380 SoundBar for an extra £100!!!

This Samsung TV is absolutely stunning ......

Just had a bit of a play about with the settings and watched the footy on HD and some SD content, all through the Sky box. Really happy, got it set so not too bright, good contrast and a good colour balance. Not much blurring on the football (a little bit when the ball is kicked long, might annoy some people but I'm fine with it). Sound is in a different league to the Digihome, that was really tinny and had to be set to about 50 to be heard in a medium lounge; this is a much fuller sound and 25 is plenty loud enough. So I'm happy that the £21 extra over the Digihome is very well spent :smiley:
