I've got 2 Ultra Fits. The first one from Amazon did get hot, but not enough to worry about. The second one brought via Flubit (they sourced it from a dodgy newsagents seller without telling me!) gets so hot the entire left side of laptop produces a huge amount of heat when it's plugged in.
Not buying another Ultra Fit again, and definitely never using Flubit again to do so as you have no control over where they source it from.

Is 150MB/s fast?

Doesn't mean anything anyway as its just a theoretical maximum, not a real world speed.

I'm looking for a new low profile USB drive. The Sandisk Ultra fit I have overheats and I'm scared it'll damage my laptop. Is this Lexar one better?

TBH I've not used mine enough to comment. However I had heard scare stories about other low profile USB devices getting very hot. The reason I picked the Lexar was due to the reviews saying it didn't suffer from this problem.

I have this and it seems a bit choosy about working at USB 3.0. On a number of PCs, in some (USB3) slots it only gets detected as a USB2.1 device and runs much slower. I have other sticks that work as USB3.0 in all the slots.
