Cold, buy a Nexus 7 2013 (New £99 or second hand ~£60) with double the specs and running Android 6.0.1 today. If you need the SD card slot, buy a second hand LG v500 (Gpad 8.3) for ~£70.

Right on. Had an ASUS Memo PAD HD 7 with very similar specs to this lenovo, and had to buy something else because the thing is unusable. Got a 2nd hand LG G Pad 8.3 in mint condition for £70 from CEX and it's like night and day.

Xiaomi tablets are really good, although you have to order from aliexpress website. Curry's had the Samsung s2 tablet reduced to £260.

Looking to replace by boys Kenobi tab s8 8inch 2 GB of ram tablet that have both smashed in the last couple of months. These may well do, they might not notice the drop in ram.
