There was a 1280x800 Miix 3 variant as well as the FULL HD - so the spec listed could well be right.

Sent mine back today. Very prompt response from the seller when I contacted them via eBay. Return label received in a few hours. Looking for a replacement rather than refund as looks like it has potential to be neat wee machine for the price.

Phoned them this morning after I got an email advising to telephone before contacting eBay should there be any problems. I was advised to call back to their technical department! Gave up after trying several times, no answer and voicemail would not allow me to leave a message. Looks like I'll need to get eBay to sort it.

Just received mine about an hour ago. Plugged it in, switched it on and it is now in a constant loop of errors and restarts. Now trying a reset, if this does not work it looks like it is going back. Pity, as very neat wee unit compared to my iPad. May try to get in to 'safe mode'. Any idea of the keys to press to access safe mode?
Update. It is now dead. Switch on and just get black screen!

Mine immediately updated then wouldn't start even though it was 80% charged. Plugging it in brought it back to life but the charger and around the charging input got quite hot. Had trouble downloading and installing chrome browser so not sure about it yet, will have a proper look at it at the weekend.

Ah, yes the free movement of people. One of the main topics of conversation. I will leave that one there but if we end up with a similar agreement as Norway then that is one of the trade offs. Looks like my dream of moving to Spain in my old age could be an issue lol. I prefer colder climates anyway. It could prove interesting in the next few years or so and I am not overly concerned at my time of life but am concerned where my children are and what the future holds for them. My son is just trying to buy his first house. That's a very worrying prospect if house prices start to take a dive. He could find himself in a negative equity situation easily in the first few years.

Understand now; I think you are right they will be price increases for the next few years. My concern is the ability of the UK to negotiate trade deals with other countries that are as good as the ones we have within the EU. I don't think this is feasible and so forsee a 10% drop in GDP.
Miix 310 looks really good though and doubtful it will now be near the £200 mark.
I guess the ability or the inability to strike a good deal will depend on our negotiators. If they fall easily and are persuaded by nice sandwiches at luxury meetings then we are stuffed. I think there is a far bigger picture that most of us are not aware of. As a country we import more than we export, therefore we are a client to the EU more than the EU is a client of ours. We are the biggest European client of Germany to a colossal amount of money. Germany must be the biggest power in Europe. How things change in 60/70 years. I am pretty damn sure that Germany don't suddenly want purchasers of VW, BMW and Audi looking at Lexus, Jaguar etc. It shouldn't take much in my opinion to secure a decent deal. As for exports, most of our exports about 80% are services. What that means exactly I have no idea but obviously we 'service' the EU in a big way. I doubt very much if a bunch of bureaucrats in Belgium could tell Germany they must put an import tax on all purchases from the UK. They have too much to lose if we start shopping elsewhere and we will. Our upper hand is our trade deficit which hopefully works in our favour now compared to 40 years ago unless of course our pound keeps being devalued. I am not saying which was the best way to vote in the referendum. I thought we put politicians in power to make these sort of decisions for us but now it appears the only decision the front runners can make is to resign. Such a shame that previous governments hadn't consulted the population on other matter like selling off our energy and other assets. Now you got me going haha. Political rant now over and yes the Miix 310 will do well at the right price but doesn't appear to offer much more than my Miix 3 apart from 4gb ram. I can't see what the ssd is but it needs to be 64gb. 32gb isn't enough. I think they need to look at the Asus T300 which I bought and although it didn't get any 5 star reviews it is just amazing and ticks all the boxes apart from the usb port. It only has one and it's a micro-b, small type. I think the low reviews had something to do with the price but I got mine at £249.99 less 10%. cracking laptop for the money and doesn't have the atom processor.
Asus t300chi does look good and a great buy for the 4gb one at 249.
Problem is that UK wants access to the EEA for Financial services. Its no issue for goods like cars and parts etc as they want to sell us loads as you say. However they want to get their hands on more financial services so will play hard ball and state must have free movement of people. I feel right now they hold nearly all the cards........

Sorry, my warped sense of humour. It was obvious the pound would take a hit if we decided to come out of Europe and 17+ million people voted to come out. So my point was that perhaps those people are not bothered about price increases from anything purchased abroad, in this instance the miix 310. I should have perhaps said 17 million people not bothered about the pound going south. Now I am not wanting to get into a political debate on what was right and wrong but as we currently import more than half of all goods purchased, a hit on the pound will affect anything we import and buy. Hopefully this will just be a temporary affair and the banks are using our decision as yet another incentive to make even more money from us in the UK. The exchange rate on the euro is no different from 2012 so I for one am optimistic. My concern is how the pound does against the Dollar because goods from China are priced in USD and we buy a lot from the far east including Lenovo. Euro will make a difference also as a lot of electronic giants have manufacturing plants in Europe, eg LG, Samsung and Panasonic. Hopefully though prices will not fluctuate too much and we will still be able to enjoy the bargains that we see posted here.

I don't think it's fair to even compare this against Surface or high end laptops.
Comparing battery life, screen res etc against tablets which are around £300 mark doesn't make much sense either tbh.
It's rather a decent looking entry level Tablet with a Bluetooth Keyboard with touchpad and a Folio case.
So a brand new 10" tablet with keyboard and case for £107 is certainly a bargain that deserves some heat.
Good find!

I couldn't agree more. I have the later one of these, still a Miix 3 but it's the one with a "hard wired" keyboard and the higher resolution screen. It's really a bargain for the price. Processor is not too bad and easily copes with HD videos streamed from Youtube, browsing, emails, office etc. Screen resolution on mine at 1920 x 1200 is a pleasure to watch and is superior to my Lenovo tab which has the same screen res. The quality of the screen to touch though feels a bit grainy or rough compared to my t300 chi but for the price I paid for the Lenovo I have no complaints. Storage was too low for me as I also have VMware running windows 7 which I need to run a programme which doesn't work on windows 10. So I got windows 10 and 7 on my Lenovo Miix 3. These are great for car diagnostics if anyone is interested in how to easily get money back of the stealer dealers who charge you 40 or 50 quid just to plug your car in. Mine has paid for itself already.
If anyone wants an as new Lenovo Miix 3 with a year left of JL warranty with high resolution screen and you live in the East Riding of Yorkshire then drop me an email. £80.00 and it's yours. Only used half a dozen times after upgrading to windows 10 in August. Sorry guys but I can't post it.

Slow charger as well. 8 hours to fully charge it from 0% doesn't help either.

Sorry I don't want to sound like a tech arise but this is about as close to a surface pro as a Windows mobile phone. I have a similar device it is not a laptop replacement a surface pro is this is a tablet with a keyboard that is its spec on the plus side it has tablet est battery life on the downside it has the processing power of a mobile phone.

As an owner of the miix 3 with the 1920 x 1200 screen I can tell you the model advertised here is advertised correctly with the 1280 x 800 resolution. Lenovo never supplied the 1920 x 1200 model with the folio case. The model I have replaced the folio case model. For some reason when Lenovo introduced the miix 300 they decided to go backwards with a lower resolution screen. I hope that clears this up and if anyone wants to buy an absolute mint as new miix 300 with the 1920 x 1200 screen and you live in Hull you can have mine for £90.00. Still has a year left of JL warranty. Sorry no postage.
