I never enjoy anything i've bought from gearbest that cost's over a tenner , the fear it will break and I will have no comeback ruins any joy i get from the product in question. imo its always better to pay a bit more and get it from somewhere decent, if you buy this from argos and something happens its almost guaranteed you will walk away with a brand new product or a refund.

The Amazon deal which is 9p cheaper was posted 16 hours ago and is at -90 degrees, this deal currently +246. Another example of how stupid temperatures on this site often are, but, why - do we have a bunch of Argos vote bots?

Why is this even a deal never mind hot? Same price or less from ebuyer, Scan, Amazon, Kikatek and Ballicom International.

I bought this phone the other day as my other unexpectedly went to phone heaven and this seemed a very cheap replacement, very easy to get from Argos too so I took a gamble. Been very impressed so far. Key points:-
1.Battery is fantastic.
2.Dual sim is very cool, not seen before.
3.Comes with a case, screen protector, earphones, charging plug and cable.
4. Sound quality is surprisingly good.
5. No lag so far.
6. Used the GPS and worked perfectly.
7. MicroSD slot (lifesaver for me).
8. Phone looks really good.
9. Camera is good quality
10. Like the fact the changing port is at the head and not bottom of the phone.
Struggled to find a negative so far. I suppose most would say because it's Lenovo it has very little sell on value but it's so cheap anyway.
Thumbs up from me.

Plus with a 5" phone your thumb could possibly reach the caps lock key :stuck_out_tongue:
My wife just received this on Monday. Weapon of a phone, battery life is insane, would blow this out the water. Beats my Sony Z3 on battery so I'll be getting one as soon as my contract is up.

This is the K5 vanilla (NOT Plus). So Snapdragon 415 (not 616, but same Adreno 405 GPU), and 1280x720 HD resolution (not FullHD 1920x1080). SD415 is merely 10% slower than SD616 (8x Cortex A-53 cores up to 1.4Gh for the SD415 vs 8x Cortex A-53 cores up to 1.7Ghz, in reality 1.5Ghz, for SD616) and they share the same GPU, Adreno 405 @ 550 Mhz and Radio (X5 LTE).

Of course. Apples and pears. I'm into buying something that I want it to do. The answer to Moto G or K5 isn't 'neither' for a lot of people. It just happens to be for you. Not sure why you are looking at a K5 thread if you are sorted though!

Good job I'm not interested in dual SIM then eh  More into build quality and well thought out design. So I'm more than sorted - once it is released.

A quick look at the Zenfone 3 which isn't even available to buy yet would indicate that you can't have dual SIM and a microSD card in at the same time - which both the Moto G and the K5 can.

Yes you can set the sim default for calls, texts & data (or set to always ask)
Numbers can be saved to Sim1, Sim2, Phone or Google
Both sims are on standby at all times.....so you can receive calls to either as long as the phone is switched on

The problem with the P9 lite for me is that you can't have 2 SIMs and a micro SD card in at the same time. Shame as it would have been a strong contender

I FIND BOTH CAMERAS GOOD TBH THE LENOVO ONE IS PRETTY SIMILAR TO THE 6 ULTRA NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH EITHER I HAVE THE 6 ULTRA 2 BUT TRYING TO SELL ON EBAY COS THE PHONE SIZE HURTS MY HANDS SO DOWNGRADED TO A 5" PHONE IT HELPS COS IT DOESNT HURT AT ALL

The brand new P9 Lite is quite a big upgrade on the older P8 Lite. It's typically £230-240 and only Vodafone are offering it at the low price of £150. It gets rave reviews, especially the camera. BTW, how are you getting with the K5 camera because a lot of reviews aren't very complimentary about it? I've got a Smart Ultra 6 myself and while the whole world and his dog says the SU6 camera is utter rubbish, I sort of quite like it! Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks. Looking for a phone for the wife. Biggest factor is size and weight as she has small hands. Was going to go for the Huawei P9 Lite (£150 but locked to Vodafone). The P9 Lite is probably the better phone but there's still a big question mark regarding it's unlockability so may end up getting the K5.

In the short time you've had the K5, has the screen picked up any scratches? A lot of the reviews say the screen has no protective glass while others say it has Ashai glass. Thanks.

Anybody picked this up? The specs on the argos website seem to be somewhere between the K5 and the K5 Plus with some bogus specs... If this is the K5 Plus then it's a pretty good deal if it's the K5 then £129.99 was the rrp when released.
Bottom line I may pick it up if it's the K5 Plus. Any chance of a screenshot of the specs on cpu-z or similar OP? Cheers.

Ordered from Tesco Direct with free £10 SIM from Lebara + Clubcard Point + Staff Discount + Free Delivery/Collection+used around £25 clubcard voucher turned into £50 = Total Paid is £ 65 (Total Value original Value £139), before I was thinking about Wileyfox but it doesn't come with Charger or Headphone and has poor audio

How does it handle dialling when there are 2 SIMs in? Does it let you set a default SIM when you make a call (i.e. remember which SIM was used for each number and use that the next time)
