Please .. anyone.. I think I have "rooted" the phone. But how on earth do I get the clock work mod thing installed on it?
So the phone came with loads of crappy pre installed apps, and even ADVERTS THAT KEPT POPPING UP!!!!
So I googled and found I could install some new ROM or something and tried doing this by plugging phone into my Mac, it was supposed to get rid of all the apps and adverts and other crap that nobody wants( WHY WOULD A NEW PHONE COME WITH THIS ANYWAY ??????) ... but instead I did something wrong, now the Lenovo phone won't even turn on :disappointed:
I think I busted my brand new phone already..
PLEASE HELP

All well and good till it packs up and you have to send it back (in warranty period) at your own cost, to China. Mine been away for 2 months and still no sign of it coming back, despite daily emails. Constant stall tactics, missing, proof of sending etc. All electronics are sent via the Netherlands hence no duty charges.

I'm typing on this now. Its a decent phone. Sometimes a bit laggy and certainly so with games. Antutu score of 45k makes it seem faster than it is. Battery life is almost a day. Good screen, GPS and audio. Decent for this price because it is well made and reliable. Dual sim is great too.

That's actually a major issue really? (when you think about it?).
As having to do that very often will naturally mean that any and all Text Messages both sent/received will be forever be permanently deleted, deleted & deleted again right? (amongst other things ..... ) not good. :-(

What's the problem with it being dual sim? My Moto G 2nd Gen is dual sim, and I use it with an EE and O2 SIM with no issues?

Great phone u your not a gamer. It struggles with games, gers hot and starts lagging.
Lots of these Chinese phones do tell you on the site that you must not update the phone. It invalidates the warranty (ROFL :-) ) and will break some functionality.

I got one of these from China a year ago. Battery life is rubbish and came with apps that are not removable and keep flashing up Chinese alert boxes (which I always cancel), plus the built-in User Centre is detected as a virus by Kaspersky but it can't be removed as it's integral to the system. I won't use passwords/signup on this phone as I feel it probably contains spyware.
If fact, I am going to try today to add a different rom to see if I can get rid of the spyware and improve battery life. If you look in the comments section of the YouTube videos where they show you how to change the rom, they are full of comments about stuff not working (e.g. "I still have old app shortcuts on screen - they don't work but just annoying being there").
I wouldn't buy another of these.

Using mine now. Very happy with it. Would like a better battery as struggles on busy days (but easy to stick in a spare). Would also like a fingerprint sensor and better camera. Would probably look at the redmi note 3 pro at around £110 for these reasons, but haven't got one to compare!

This is much smoother in games than the Vodafone Smart ultra 6, and dual sim, the Su6 has NFC though so depends what you want/need.
Battery life lasts 24 hours (as in charge when I get in from work, then take off charge once full and last through to the next evening) for me with moderate usage, two days on low usage days. On relatively high usage, if it has a full charge in the morning, it will last until bedtime easily, probably warning me at 15% charge around 8pm or so.

The battery is HORRIBLE! And the keypad lost touch sensitivity around the edges one in a while and phone would have to be reset. Was quite a comment fault in this phone

Where does it say 2G only? Maybe if you only read the first part of the whole sentence
This phone will only work with 2G: GSM B2/3/8 3G: WCDMA B1/2/5/8, TD-SCDMA B34/39 4G: FDD-LTE B1/3/7, TD-LTE B38/39/40/41

They're good, I've bought many things from them including 1 phone and 4 tablets and I've never been charged import duty
Good battery life. I use as second phone and have had it for a month. Expect it to last the day with moderate to more intensive use

I've got the rock with similar specs and a 3000mah battery struggles to last the day. I ended up leaving this for albeit much lower spec HT6 with a 6250mah battery. Its an animal..

Nice find. This is a great phone. Very easy to root and add a new rom. Tons of options over at xda developers.
