Very cheap for this! If you were waiting to buy one, go for it!

I have this one and yes, ok, it's less powerful than the more expensive artisan but I've never had any issues with power at all and at this price it's a total bargain.
It's a fantastic machine - if you're on the fence and not sure, well, buy it! Buy it now rather than in 6 months time as then you get 6 months more use out of it.
Tips:
- Buy a spare bowl and spare paddle as otherwise you'll be forever washing up between mixing the cake and then the icing etc.
- when mixing icing sugar or flour, pop a tea towel over the top of the bowl to avoid a haze of sugar/flour in the air and it going everywhere.
- don't bother buying the paddle with a scraper. Go for the basic one. The scraper one just scrapes a certain amount beyond the top of the scraper so you have to stop and scrape the bowl down before continuing.
- for mixing a cake, I would do a medium speed such as 4 or 6.
- for meringues I start slowly at 2 and then once bubbly increase the speed
Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Not to be confused with the more powerful Artisan model. This is the classic model which has 75w less.
If you want to use it to mix doughs for bread/pizza, you will want the artisan.

Ordered it for £159. It's back up to £298.99 now. We shall see if they honour it...

How weird. the merchant is also showing as U Stores. Maybe it's one per customer and it automatically defaults to a different merchant?

iI've seen it still listed under the 'new and used' tab. Strange. Anyway. i'll shut up now.

It is fine for occasional dough making but if like me you want to bake bread 5 times a week or want to make more than one loaf, it will struggle.

For anyone that missed this, Amazon Warehouse currently have these at £143 in 'very good' condition. I've bought lots from AW recently and most things have been new when in very good condition. Be quick as the two won't last long. Hope it helps: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000744SZW
