Quick review to help anybody; Had these for over a year (maybe even 2), they are insanely durable and perfect for running. Bass is surprisingly good and the sound quality is great (for the price), I would go as far to say they compare with my flatmates £65 headphones (believe it or not.)

bought a pair ages ago for a tenner, the 1button mic is appallingly bad quality (both mic quality and the button itself, mine gave out and kept pausing/resuming songs at random till i deliberately broke the button open) but the sound quality was pretty good with great bass and the earbuds were extremely comfortable and well-fitting (came with 3 sets IIRC). lost them on a night out a few weeks ago, most headphones i buy (including the sennheisers i usually get) tend to get caught on something and lose sound to one ear but these lasted me 2 years.
great for the price !
edit - seems these have no in-line mic but otherwise identical to ones i owned. given the mic was **** for anything other than skipping tracks and tetchy at that it's no concern.

good. i went from a pair of sennheiser cx-300 II's to these when the former lost sound in one ear after a year. these aren't as good especially on spoken word but had nice bass and were better than any sub-£10 pair i've ever tried (i got the inline mic ones for a tenner). earbuds were really comfy and well-fitting too, the crappy HMV (jack & cable) ones i have got to replace them cost me a fiver and the sound isn't remotely as good plus they can't stay in my ear at all.

How do these compare with the the Xiaomi Piston 3?

Wonder how these compare to the Panasonic RP-HJE125E which to me are the best sub £10 headphones hands down - unique comfort design on the ear fitting, sound quality, etc?

Exactly what I was wondering. The Panasonic set can be had for about £5.54 from Amazon, so I'd probably lean more towards them.
You can't go far wrong for £4.99, if they turn out to be slightly more crap than you expected, it doesn't really matter. Its not like buying an expensive pair, and finding they are only marginally better than a crap pair.

I bought a pair of these - wasn't impressed at all
Someone can have mine for a couple of quid, once i'd given them a decent test i knew they didn't cut it for me and they haven't been used since
Given that pistons start around £3-4 these are cheap (quality wise) plasticky rubbish by comparison
