tried this on my system again the other night and it's *just* about playable with everything set to "off" and the resolution set to the lowest workable one as well.
even then there's lag, but then I know my graphics card isn't up to it. just can't afford one that is unfortunately

I've got a Core i3 3.6ghz with 8gb of ram, but i've only got a 1GB Radeon HD 6570 Graphics Card. Maybe it'll just take a 2gb card full stop, but i've looked in to it and the absolute cheapest card i could potentially get that's been recommended is £100 quid, which i just can't afford.
