The reason some were still 98p is because fresh ones might have been baked before the price drop came down and these would get 3 days. These are the 98p cookies. There isn't a different one whenever they drop to 50p, it's the same cookie.

50p at Trafford Park, almost whiped out this morning and definitely thinner than usual but for that price marvellous!

I've edited the title and taken out the "Nationwide" as some Asda stores don't seem to be participating in this deal although other store are.
I went into my local Asda (Redditch) and they're 50p as of this morning, others have also mentioned they're 50p in there stores but other stores seem to be charging full price.
This should actually be a nationwide deal in which all Asda stores should be charging 50p for the cookies. I was told by a mate who works at Asda that the prices online are the prices the items should be sold instore. They isn't one price for online and one price for Instore, so I don't know what's going on!

op you need to edit the deal. most people are complaining including me that it's still full price in some stores.
so not a nationwide deal!

Bought some at the weekend. Is it just me or have they changed the recipe or something? The past couple times i've bought them, they have been more soft and thin than normal, totally crap for dunking in milk. Oat & Fruit as well as the double choc are guilty of this issue!

Well by them online for 50p and stop the negativity :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like I should change that title saying "nationwide", I bet it's a case of the staff not updating pricing, Tesco are usually guilty of this!

Ohhhh there 50p again, sweet.
For months I picked up a pack everytime I went in an asda at 50p, then they went back up to 98p or w/e. Still there damned tasty, the white choc chip ones are great as are the oatmeal.
Check the dates though, they don't only have todays baked on the shelf unlike morrisons. And they're really not as nice if they're no longer super soft

Just fyi - these may be BAKED in store but they're unlikely to be MADE in store. Most in store bakeries get these in frozen and they're baked for 10 minutes.

Don't know if it's just me, but they're definitely smaller than they were a few years ago, and always seem smaller when I buy them at 50p than when I buy them at 98p. Maybe I'm just imagining it.

The double chocolate ones are definitely smaller when on this deal. They were 50p for a month or so about 3 months ago, but they were really small. Out of habit (online shop...) I bought them again at 98p and they were much larger.

I think there was a problem with their systems because yesterday the Dumbarton Asda had the 50p stickers on the shelf and 98p labels on the cookies themselves. When I queried it the bakery staff removed the labels from the shelf and went to try and find out what had happened. I didn't stay for long enough to find out but I suspect one hand wasn't talking to the other and the labels were put up prematurely.
