I bought one last week. Can't fault it, great quality plastic - feels more solid than my official Samsung plug! Plus ikeas swipe a prize for family members started again this week.

Got one of these. Great little charger

£7.50 for delivery, so I think I will pass. Handy for those that are near a store which unfortunately I'm not.

My kids got one of these each for xmas from the red-dressed white-bearded man. They cost 7 pounds then too. Both children pleased with the item. Would recommend!

I can vouch for this being a great quality charger and charges stuff pretty quick. Had mine since autumn. Not sure its a great deal in terms of price but its from a quality brand and not some dodgy 99p import on ebay.

And yes to the question above, it does have the 3 ports on the bottom.

Would rather stick to a 4 port Anker, this is just generic Chinese in an IKEA packet.
I have used IKEA but they also have a lot of product recalls as they know some of their stuff is tat.

Based on the numbers above I think you would get about 1.13 Amps per port if fully loaded.

these are great but only work on 240V. if you travel to America they don't work on 110V bit annoyed.

Could almost say the same of Anker. I have 2 of their 40W 4 port smart chargers, and if they aren't faulty (had to return both), they pretty much charge at the same rate as a normal 4 port charger. At least they have a decent customer service and returns policy through Amazon.

ever since I bought a charger off eBay a few years ago and it blew itself to melted plastic pieces I'm very careful now .I have one of these IKEA and it works well and will be getting more when I can be bothered to go back to IKEA ,or most likely when the other half says we're going.

Certainly if your daughters are unlucky enough to have an ipo/ad they're going to be needing this. A lot. For a long, long time.

Well you are fortunate to always have three empty conveniently placed sockets to plug 'em into. Many don't. This means you can charge up to three devices overnight (when time is not of the essence) from one socket - essential in the average hotel room - or a quick charge (if the device supports it) for one or two.

Crazy design. Means I would always have to use it with an extension lead which negates the point of it being compact.

You can get white 1M USB to micro USB leads for just £1.45 from Home Bargains, which give a nice tight fit in the micro USB socket.

I would choose IKEA over Anker anyday.

I say that as a regular purchaser of Anker products.
Anker products are all clearly made in China etc also.

Thank you for the kind offer, as with many things on HUKD it would have been an impulse buy, which retrospectively I think I will survive with out, particularly as it has been pointed out that with all 3 ports in use (which would be my typical situation) the output current is only going to be just over 1A per port which is what most standard / lower cost USB chargers output. So nothing gained overall. But thanks again anyway.

​I had a bought the office quality laminate flooring from IKEA a year ago, bought too many packs on purpose as knew I could return the unwanted, done this many times at B&Q.

One pack had damage on the corner, as I had bought it as one of about 40 packs, total order was £550.

Returns desk refused to give a full refund as they accused me of damaging it and took off about £5.50 from the refund of about £35.

If you have a problem with ikea don't expect good service, they argued over £5.50 on a £550 spend, I vowed not to use them again.

Now I have a delamination issue on a couple of boards that have a 15 year guarantee, shots stuff at a low price, good luck with your charger...

My 4 port Anker overheated and melted the USB cable! Stay away from them now!

Three £1.25 chargers = £3.75.
Three way mains adapter = £2.99.
Total = £6.74.

not really no,this is from Ikea so they pass quality control and safety standards unlike non brand junk you buy from China..but still not worth £7.they would be ok for maybe £4-£5 max.

So you purchased a damaged pack, then took it back for a refund? Obviously if you had returned it straight away as damaged, then they would have exchanged/refunded you straight away. I presume you kept it for a while then took a batch of them back for a refund? Not surprising that they charged you for the damage.

I would expect a purchaser to check stock, no matter how large the order, to ensure that there are no defective items. Most online stores have a policy stating that any defective items on delivery should be notified within 24-48 hours.

I have used Ikea for many items and have had nothing but stellar after sales support from them.

Robust and well engineered inside, plus it will get recalled and you'll get another for free if it goes wrong. HOT!

​pretty sue mine was the same last week in Glasgow.

I believe the output current would be divided by however many devices are connected simultaneously. So if all 3 ports are in use, I'd imagine it would be 3400mA/ 3 = 1133.33mA which would result in slow charging. Anything above 2000mA generally does a good job at charging fast in my experience.

I know I didn't damage it, and when I bought it, no I didn't check every pack.

It was a big order and they are f*cking heavy so I didn't check every edge and every corner of every pack by swinging them around in the warehouse like a tw*t.

I've used Homebase, B&Q and Ikea for this kind of stuff, never a problem at B&Q, Homebase are OK and Ikea meh!

The only companies worse for customer service than Ikea are Royal Mail and Sainsburys.

You pay your money and take your choice, I've shopped at Waitrose and Amazon a lot and I've never had a problem that wasn't resolved but their customer service never lived up to their reputation neither did Ikea.

Now Orange (before EE), Currys and Argos who get regularly slagged off have always been a dream to deal with!

these fully charges 2 xperia z's and an ipad 3rd gen over night fully. if using to charge 1 device they ok for quick charging but when all 3 used you need an overnight charge.
