Isn't this the normal price for generic ibuprofen?
Oh and 'Max 2 per customer' is the regulations on selling painkillers, nothing to do with how good a deal it might be....

I see, did not notice that, they are very cheap then but I do not think that even the normal white one are any cheaper anywhere else

Is this the normal Aldi price for these or is it a special offer only in Aldi Reading?

Deals like this are why I'm addicted to Hotukdeals.. Although as everyone has pointed out, generic ibuprofen is dirt cheap.

Same price as Savers I think and there must be a lot more Savers stores than Aldi ones. As mentioned, generic ibruprofen is always around this price unless you buy from a local pharmacy and get ripped off.
Worth mentioning that if you over use it, it can have quite bad effects on your stomach.

Also available: paracetamol for the same price. Deal of the century.

This is the going rate for a packet of these or paracetamol. Why is this a Hot deal??
SteveDave4
10 Jun 16#28
Savers has about 300, Aldi has more than twice that..

10 Jun 16#29
I am baffled why this is hot. As others have said this is pretty much the going rate for generic Ibuprofen.
niks_b
10 Jun 16#30
Hot because these are usually not available at this rate. Even poundland sells them for a quid.

10 Jun 16#31
Totally agree 268 degrees! Aldi's normal price- how has this received this much heat?
EveshamLad
10 Jun 16#32
I agree and have voted this deal HOT, HOT, HOT!
EveshamLad
10 Jun 16#33
It's quite simple, it all depends on how many people vote it hot (mitigated by any that vote it cold).
It's just a bit of fun. What is important is that the deal is mentioned and brought to the attention of other rreaders of HUKD, which this deal obviously has succeeded in doing.
(Well that's the official line ...)

I believe this is the normal, national price available from all Aldi sores.
As Doods1875 says is post#7, same price is Asda
30p from Tesco ... every little helps
Probably still available at around that price if you are lucky enough to have a Home Baragins nearby, but this deal is superb for those that live next door to Aldi.

how Is this a deal, they r the same price or cheaper in asda and wilkinsons and no doubt many more places

the cheap white one are the cheap one, this is the sugary coated one and therefore a lot more expensive. @ 25p it is a hot bargain.

10 Jun 16#39
if you can only buy 2boxes equal 32pills then why do sainsburys sell boxes of 96
EveshamLad
10 Jun 16#40
I don't think they can legally, not without a prescription.
The law limits packs to no greater than 16 off the shelf, and no greater than packs of 32 over the counter (i.e. sanctioned by a phamacist)

10 Jun 16#41
you better tell them that then

Lol 200mg.....cute.
400mg gel caps or nothing. One of the things I regularly bring back here. I find the availability of certain medicine over the counter here a little lacking.

10 Jun 16#43
Paracetamol capsules are always 25p for a pack of 16 in Tesco, btw. Gentler on your stomach than Ibuprofen.

most of the human illnesses are brain made up. Once I told my partner that I dissolved something that will make her feel better. She was well a short time later and only with a glass of plain water, lol.

Is it magically going to then turn into a gel capsule?
