As a warning to others, this apparently runs like crap. Haven't played it myself but It seems a very common complaint.

On the new 3DS I would say that the performance is much better than on the Wii U. Also, as long as you haven't played any other versions, you probably wouldn't realise quite how bad it is on the old 3DS. Gameplay is slower, but when you aren't comparing it to what it could be on a faster console, it isn't too bad.

I just want the characters for the Wii U version. Dont know if it's worth it as they're bringing a new season pass for wii u version including the 3DS characters.

There's a demo on the eShop for anyone worried about if they can deal with frame rate. I found it pretty choppy at around 20fps on my original 3DS - okay to play in 30 minute bursts but wouldn't want to play it for hours at a time.

Wii U version is 30 fps, but not sold. On new 3DS it runs at 60 fps.

I don't get the hatred towards this game in regards graphics. It's a 3DS game and it looks very good considering. It is obviously not going to look like a Wii U HD game. And as for how it runs on an old 3DS, apparently it is fine.

For this price, plus £15 for the DLC packs, it's a total steal. there are literally 100s of hours of gameplay here.
