1. Not sure what IS is but.. If it's image stabilisation you may want to check this out https://youtu.be/9XWu3v0juJI cause apparently it's not really needed.
3. It's been mentioned here already but Huawei are a massive and reliable brand, not sure Google would have picked them for the Nexus otherwise.
4. Not sure what an IU is but Huawei's skin on Android is 'fine' not great but okay and most of the quirks can be ironed out by slapping on an alternative launcher.
5. At this price it is close to a bargain for what you're getting.
Have some heat OP.

OnePlus is a smartphone manufacturer owned by Chinese company Oppo, who have been around for many years.
They're renowned for releasing high quality phones at near-budget prices. Theyve released three phones so far, the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, with the OnePlus 3 due to be released later today.

sorry what is Oneplus 3, is that another Huawei phone?
Crossbow
14 Jun 16#64
I wouldn't bother at this price, as it has been posted for £300 before.
Also, worth waiting for the overall better-specced Oneplus 3 out later today, for a lower cost than this.

You'd be a fool if you did get it, it's very clearly fake.
Generally it does now. All the innovation and panel improvements are on 1440p displays.

I am in the market for this phone but free phone at £35.99 a month for 2 years for 2gb and unlim mins n texts is a bit steep imho...so this could work out a good deal esp as equiv sim plan on gif gaff is only £12 a month .

I've put my P9 up against my mate's S7 and there is no noticeable difference in the screen. Battery life is really good! EMUI is not that bad bar the keyboard which can be swapped for the stock Android one in about 2 seconds. Well known brand that has been releasing the best bang for bucks phones for years. Go to YouTube and watch video after video of this phone destroying the other flagships in terms of performance. Gorgeous design and brilliant build quality!
I'm sorry but are you trolling?
jayd95
8 Jun 16#48
I would personally go with this I know the 6p is pure android and quad hd but the battery sucks my mate has one and it's bent and we don't know why , slower processor, and it's huge but if you like holding big things :stuck_out_tongue: then it's a pretty amazing phone

you can get a Nexus 6p for this price too, decisions

8 Jun 16#46
I agree lg dropped the ball big time, higher resolution doesn't equal a better screen and I would rather have the nicer design, better performance and in my usage better battery life and of course cheaper price
jmle101
8 Jun 161#45
Not everyone wants a bigger screen
Resolution above 1080p on a screen this size is not noticeable but is a huge battery drain
The LG G5 is noticeably slower in all real world tests on youtube
The P9 looks and feels like a premium device whereas the G5 is plastiky and pig ugly...

You will be tied into a contract. If the customer service is rubbish, reception is rubbish or you find a better/cheaper deal, you'll be tied into a contract, unable to leave.
If the difference was £20 I would stay sim only for the flexibility, but £50 savings sounds enticing, it is a tough call; up to you.

8 Jun 16#42
OMG I have just figured out how to use the usage summary page on Giffgaff and I can see the last 3 months of usage! They have all been under 2GB, of course this month (which includes Mays quota?!) is a little over 2GB. I reckon the Mrs will be able to make do with a 3GB/month data quota. Does anyone foresee any issues switching to a contract phone (apart from the number porting)? I have never had a contract phone before - but it looks like that £681 for 24 months is too good a deal to miss!
aLV426
8 Jun 161#41
So I'm currently paying £15/month with Giffgaff for 4GB of data (don't really care about the minutes or texts), that works out @ £360 over 24 months. So this phone @ £369 + £360 = £729 over 24 months. I can get a 3GB deal with CPW for £681 which includes the wristband thingy... Ah so many decisions, because as far as I'm concerned I'll be paying £15 a month any way whether is PaYG or contract...

the LG g5 may have a higher resolution screen but the build quality is shocking,, light bleed gaps in the case , badly molded rear "metal", they had a chance to steal the market with that phone but me like many others have been put off purely by the quality control

I have the previous metallic P8, which I got for only £150 (thanks again HUKD & parasitemol) - very pleased with it & will do me for a few years.
As good as it may be, I don't think this (P9) is worth more than £300, & it was this price at Vodafone about a month ago: Huawei P9 on PYG £300.00 Vodafone online

Not against this phone most maybe a good phone but a year back when I gave similar comments about Oppo I was told the same thing one of the world largest phone manufacturers and all that, it doesn't matter who are the largest the fact is what people loved to buy and We all know that, I personally I would never pay that much money for a phone without QHD and poor resale value I am sure after 6 months you can't sale for half price......maybe Huawei have good market in Asia but not in UK and Europe

8 Jun 16#29
Nexus 6P (£370 at the moment), Huawei P9 (£380 here), LG G5 (£385, with Very deal)? Struggling to decide. OK the S7 is better but very significantly more expensive.
6P - pure Android, great display but too big? slightly older processor?
g4 - excellent specs and camera, poor design and UI
P9 - good camera, good design, medium specs, not quad HD or amolled, poor UI?
or wait for the OnePlus three
I'm tending to the G5 given the price equivalence, but....

yes but for the same money you can get a LG g5 which has

so for me the g5 seems a lot better for the money
