Can anyone say what the charging time they've experienced is, the video review has me a bit concerned 3h30m seems a rather long while to charge up.

I got it from Vodafone but it is locked. It's look like you can use double Nano sim without memory card. When I unlock I will let you know

I can comfirm its 3gb ram and 16gb i played around with it very snapy and screen quaity is impressive also camera is really good

Looking at getting the P9 Lite for the wife. The SU6 is cheaper but she has small hands and reckons the SU6 is too awkward to hold. Am one of probably many who are watching this thread to see if this unlocks as easily as the SU6.

Hard to tell, depends on your needs and wants for the phone, they both have their ups and downs.

5x has better camera, will get faster updates and probably get an Android O update and the p9 lite probably won't. Screen is likely better and with Gorilla Glass 3 should stay that way. If you get the 32gb it'll have twice the internal storage.

P9 lite wins on 3gb ram vs 2gb, expandable storage, slightly faster processor, slightly bigger battery and fair bit cheaper.

I'd like a cross between the two :/

​I paid 150 for the handset and 10 for the top up on pay as you go, which is unavoidable. This is my second phone from vodafone, first was the ultra 6 and both times that said you can unlock the phone after 30 says. I'm not sure why or how they know but that's what I was told. You can also get Vodafone to unlock it, but they charge £20, and again you have to wait 30 days. I just put their SIM in and leave it for 30 days and use my current phone. And yes it has two apps I have found that are Vodafone and can't be uninstalled. A lot of the stuff is Huawei based and its not as bad as all the vodafone bloatware on the ultra 6. It was a bit of a nightmare!

Have I made the right decision or should I have forked out a little more for the nexus x5???? any opinions.......

Just picked one of these up in the Cardiff St. David's branch - after they had it priced up at £350, £50 more than the standard P9!

Yeah which is fine if they work but know a lot of people had tines where Few days later seller saying they can't unlock. Eg p8 lite on Vodafone had to be u kicked using DC unlocker

Just got mine from Westfield and can confirm it says on the box 16Gb and 3Gb ram. And the lady said you can only unlock after 30 days

I posted an image of the live chat with one of the Vodafone reps, so forgive me but I am more inclined to believe them.

No way I spoke with sales team via phone they said 32 gb because they have some kind of deal with Huawei which is only available on Vodafone. Please stop why we have fight each other wait for one week and find out

and that 32GB is an error

Online and Vodafone stores stock everywhere is still "available in 1-2 weeks" so no one has one to try to unlock yet.

​The p9 lite is a decent phone at a good price. it is not an import yourself job so you get actual warranty and rights if the phone fails. it also works on all UK networks unlike nearly all import yourself Chinese phones.

...and for £90 less than o2 want for 16gb. Seems a longer shot than England winning the Euros. I'd take one if it's 16gb/3gb it'll still be a bargain, 32gb and it's a miracle.

As the stock online and for stores was and still is available in 1-2 weeks probably not.

AFAIK some manufacturers in the past made phones exclusively for Voda with extra memory, so I still hope it's 32GB...and 3GB RAM...

Some one replay on other saying. They got phone from Vodafone and it 16gb 3gb ram but not sure if I get 16 gb I will blame them.

IF it's true then it's a bargain, especially as huawei don't make one, I'm still betting on 2gb ram and 16gb internal until someone actually gets one.
o2 have the 3gb ram and 16gb internal for a comparatively eye watering £240 plus top up.

Spoke to Vodafone sales team they said 3gb ram and 32 gb internal memory. They did double check it as well

No version comes with 32gb tbh, still hopeful that the 3gb ram will be available here, given the price I doubt this is though. If not then damn Huawei for only selling shoddy second rate versions here.

Reason why i spoke to EE is because they have the P9 lite aswell and its uk stock so vodafone should have same specs also it doesnt come with 32gb in uk version only 16Gb with 2gb ram

They don't know about its specs in detail, you can ask them about the colour of handset maybe, but there is no guarantee they ll give you correct info

Another update now been told by EE customer service its only 2gb ram 16gb internal....tbey do p9 lite on contract

I checked in the Nottingham Clumber St branch today and the display says the phone is 16gb. I did think that it felt a bit too large in size as I'm used to a Moto G, so I didn't buy it.

Doubtful. But Vodafone haven't bothered providing that detail yet so noone knows. Doubt it's 32gb either.

The box in the youtube video shows non pro has a 5.5" screen full HD screen, 2960mah battery with Quick charge 2.0, 1.8ghz cpu (I guess A53 cores), 2GB ram, 16GB 13mp and 5mp cameras but no mention of fingerprint scanner. The pro looks like a beast: snapdragon 652 that uses 4 powerful A72 cores, quad HD, fingerprint scanner. I think I would go for the P9 lite over the non pro su7 but if the pro is really coming in at £200 then that seems pretty tempting.

I hadn't heard about that, that makes things trickier then. Maybe wait until the specs are comfired for the SU7 and then make a decision? Do you know if the specs are the same as the new Zte Blade V7? If they are then I think the p9 lite has better specs i.e. a bigger battery and a faster cpu (2500mah vs 3000mah and 1.5Ghz A53 vs 2Ghz A53(Mediatek MT6753 vs HiSilicon Kirin 650)).

The Xiaomi IS a better phone but this one has the warranty so it's a judgement call. Me? I'm a big Chinese phone fan and not the worrying type so would get the Xiaomi every day of the week...

im in the same situation with the SU6 and I fancy a new phone but im not sure if I should go for this or wait for the Smart Ultra 7 and Pro 7 which have already been announced in Turkey.

That review website rocks. I have a smart ultra 6 and I haven't been completely happy with the performance. I have mine loaded with lots of stuff running though. On this phone the cpu/gpu seem a significant upgrade and the storage speed is really good. They even include the refresh rate of screens now and IMO it's a significant factor whether the screen feels cheap or not. The refresh rate on this doesn't seem very good but can't really complain for the price when factoring everything in.

No way it's 76.4%! Screen to body ratio is something I've become extremely interested in since I got my Meizu MX4 Pro as that is only just over 3mm taller than the P9 Lite but has a 5.5 inch screen AND a front fingerprint scanner! I just get the impression making a phone bigger than it needs to be is a bit lazy on the design front.

Sorry to re-ask the same question but does anyone know if this is likely to have Voda bloatware and can it be removed easily?
Also can anyone get on to the vodafone site atm?
One final thing...whats the trick you have to do to get round not having to buy the top-up?

The screen to body ratio thing is bit confusing Huawei proudly claim in it's page "Featuring the expanded screen-to-body ratio of 76.4%" and gsmarena claim under 70%

Does seem a bit stupid doesn't it - can't save them much money :/ You can get a tempered glass protector for less than a fiver but it still seems a bit of a silly design choice to save pennies!

id like to know if it can be unlocked before taking the plunge, ive searched ebay as suggested but cant fing any decent sellers for unlocking the p9 lite.

There are a few people on eBay claiming to sell unlock codes for the P9 Lite so presumably there must be some way of doing it.

simple glass cover no gorilla glass. so screen easy to scratch.

Network providers never sell dual sim phones in the UK which is quite normal practice as they want you to spend your money on their service like Vodafone in this case.
From the other hand if you are looking for a phone with dual sim you can find some on CPW in SIM free range or any other UK seller who sells sim free phones ( like handtec,clove, ebuyer etc)

Even the reviews only mention 16gb. It's not as though Vodafone site has reputation for quality or accuracy.

Anyway seems they've not even got stock for 1-2 weeks plenty of time to find out. Find it touch odd that they don't even know when they'll get them.

The black version seems to be 32gb, I don't think it's a mistake. besides - if it is, surely you can just return it?

Does it have NFC? Such a good looking phone, all it needs is NFC, I actually use Android Pay 90% of the time now, as long as the shop has contactless, I pull out my phone instead of my wallet, so no NFC would be so disappointing :'(

I would probably tend towards this - g4 has reports of overheating, this has NFC and better 4g (cat 6 rather than cat 4) and the cameras look a bit better from what I've seen online. Why they haven't put gorilla glass on it though is beyond me - it can't save that much money!
