Thought these looked a great price, rrp is £16.99 & £21.99 (still around £12-£16 elsewhere) & they are now £6 each but if you use code SPRING15 it brings them down to £5.10 each with FREE C+C, they do have a code for 25% off a £20 Spend (BLACKX) today, so might be worth having a browse or buying a few (like I have) to put away for presents. I brought this for my friend, his English is a bit poor so he struggled to read it. You would have thought that a book about a Klingon Bird of Prey would have been in Klingon, alas it was not, so had to send it back. Otherwise this was a great book and hot at this price

Unlike my Terminator Vault order with The Works (cancelled 3 days after I placed it for being OOS :-( ), these 2 books were ready for collection within hours and I just picked them up. Should be a fun read and I'm glad there's only a bit of Klingon in the Bird of Prey book :-)

If only modern starships were like the old Constitution class Enterprise. You could fix those with a Haynes manual and an afternoon. Blasted Galaxy class with its warranty seals, security screws and 'no user serviceable parts' stickers. Still, they do now start reliably on a winter morning now, eh captains?

Heat added. The photon torpedo tubes are notoriously difficult to take apart for cleaning.

Bird-of-Prey is the classic Klingon starship - a tough raiding and scouting vessel that has served at the heart of the Klingon Defense Force for more than a hundred years. Life on board is harsh and brutal, with any sign of weakness leading to a challenge to the death. The ship itself is stripped back and lean, with everything designed for a single purpose - war.
This Haynes Manual traces the origins of a Bird-of-Prey from the moment it is commissioned by one of the Great Houses and constructed at the shipyards of the Klingon Naval Academy. It then proceeds to examine General Martok's famous ship the I.K.S. Rotarran in unprecedented detail.
Featuring a stunning cutaway drawing and, for the first time ever, detailed deck plans and incredible new computer-generated artwork, the Haynes Bird-of-Prey Manual is a technical tour of the ship's systems, from the bridge and engineering rooms to the disruptors, torpedo launcher, and the all-important cloaking device.
In addition, the Manual provides a unique insight into life on board a Klingon ship and the Rotarran's glorious history in the Dominion War.
A fantastic workshop manual for all Star Trek fans to enjoy.
This hardback book has 122 pages and measures: 28 x 21 x 1cm.
