Not as annoying as my labrador who insists on trying to chase the collie dog when it goes off screen and ends up headbutting our tv which no doubt soon will need the help of Hotukdeals in getting replaced :smirk:

That's the one reason didn't purchase this hoover. I instead got a vax air cordless lift which has a lift out part and comes with a free 2 in 1 steamer worth £100. Highly recommend.

I have an AEG cordless vac which my staffy generally leaves alone unless he is in an absolute stinker of a mood, whereas with a standard corded vac you can guarantee he needs to go outside to get round the downstairs

A better suggestion all-round would be the Morphy Richards Supervac 723005. Half the price with the same results.
I got mine about 2 weeks ago for less than £60 from eBay with 6 months warranty.

horror stories? I have had one for just over a year and been trouble free - but my parents have had no issues with customer service from them - had almost a completely new vacuum from them, are happy to just ship the parts out without requiring old back - including batteries.

this is a v good hoover. i bought mine from john lewis a few years back. last year it started giving problems and gtech replaced it with a brand new one. great customer service. i think they are doing a deal on this and their hand held for around £300 which is what i would go for if i was getting it now
I would have bought at that price until I read of the horror stories around their customer service. This is a British company, we're not good at service :P

This is a great vacuum, but unless they fix the lack of attachments it's always going to be a no from me - there is no way to do your edges...

Afraid I couldn't buy any product whose marketing campaign is based solely on an endorsement from the daily fail!

My Presa canario does the same for any dogs on the TV, not sure how my TV has survived as it's on a stand, her fav was the Ford advert, as soon as she heard the music she was up and attacking the TV screen, she also attacks vacuum cleaners, so a silent running vacuum would be a godsend, don't suppose for one minute that the gtech is silent.
