Was looking for simular one for my car for quiet long time and found one in my local B&M.Adapters for most of the computer brands and for the price bargains.
Grundig Smart universal adapter is designed for notebooks with power input of less than 80 W. The adapter is used to charge the laptop from sources with voltages ranging from 11 to 14 V. The output voltage can be set in steps ranging from 12 to 24 V. A nice bonus is USB output and protection overload, overvoltage, overtemperature, undervoltage and short-circuit. In the box you will find eight adapters for almost every type of laptop.

The word " car " is now in the title , so no ambiguity.

It is ambiguous, to repeat: the reader has to absorb 60+ words of OP text before the power source is clarified. Up to words 60+, both yours and my interpretation are equally valid, as was post #1. Another ambiguous example would be this ebay item that has all the listing title traits as OP, and where only the images and reading 30+ words of descriptive text absolutely clarifies voltage source http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEICKE-UltraSlim-Universal-Power-Supply-Power-Adapter-Charger-90W-12V-7-5A-5-/262419510649

+1 for that. I saw this just after it was posted and figured it was for use in a car.
But the question is, is this national or just a one off in store offer?

still not following. it isn't ambiguous for me. this item will supply DC power at user-selectable steps: 12V, 15V, 16V, 18V, 19V, 20V, 22V and 24V; up to a maximum of 90W. it must contain an inverter as the input power is from a 12V car port. the item you linked to is a mains powered laptop power supply which supplies 19V (although the model number, L555-12V, contains "12V" which IS ambiguous and may mislead some people as it has done you).
sorry I don't follow. I just read 12V in the title and immediately knew it would be for a car.

Agreed, but you have to read 60+ words of OP text before you realise it is not a "simular one" to an inverter model supplying mains, nor mains powered. A little clearer now that "car " has been added to title, and maybe now someone can push it over 100 degrees to make it hot.

most people know that cars have 12V outputs instead of 240V at home.

Was interested until read the source voltage which is clearly for cars / vans. Might be appropriate to mention that in the deal title as some readers may miss an opportunity and assume this is a mains powered adapter.
