Offer through Groupon may be of use to those with an Odeon cinema near them.
Choose Between Two Options:
£10 for two cinema tickets
£20 for five cinema tickets
Please note that no promo codes are valid in conjunction with this deal
ODEON are offering cinema lovers the chance to see Hollywood’s latest releases with two or five tickets. Valid for standard seating at screenings until 20 July, tickets can be used for 2D films at locations across the UK. Tickets can be used in one visit or spread across multiple trips to the big screen. To find the nearest ODEON cinema, click here.
How it Works
Purchase a Groupon offer
You will be emailed a voucher which includes a unique code for each of the tickets. Each Groupon code/barcode can only be used once regardless of redemption method.
These codes can be redeemed at the box office or online. Either print off your voucher and present the barcode at the ticket counter, or enter the voucher code on the Odeon website when booking your seats to enjoy your film
Not valid for the Secret Life of Pets (before 8 July 2016) or Independence Day (before 8 July 2016)

Most people go to the cinema as a couple (or as a group made up of multiple couples), which means you will have one voucher left over and most likely someone will pay full price to accompany that person with a voucher.
It's great for me though because my wife loves going to the cinema and I can't stand it, so she can go 5 times.
Make sure to read the T&C - online only for the moment (I have delivery saver - so "free" delivery) and just one pair of tickets per email address per day - will be in store soon as well. Tickets valid until November.

Decent deal but its quite easy to buy 10 odeon vouchers from reliable sellers on ebay for £35-£40. These vouchers have a validity of almost a year. The sellers send you the codes which can be used to book tickets on the odeon website. There is no booking fee. Odeon then send you a code which can be used at the self service machines( under tesco clubcard and other voucher section) and you get the tickets.

The point is that this wasn't a deal specifically for you was it, Mr "my TV system is bigger than the Sun"...
Making it cold because it doesn't suit your personal circumstances is pathetic..!
For the vast majority, ODEON have cinema screens big enough for them to go and spend their fortunes at.
Personally, I like to stay at home, cover myself in uncooked basmati rice and eat crispy wonton's whilst my dog humps my exposed ankles and I urinate glitter on to a Bernard Matthews steak pie ready to be danced upon by my 11 elves, each named Wendlebury Mackintosh... The end.

In response to the gentleman above. We technically only use 4% of our brain. So when you say "surely anyone with half a brain would take their own food" are you saying 50% or 2%. I guess the rule of thumb here is work in percentages it's just easier for everyone. I for one am bamboozled by your comments.
Furthermore if I only had half a brain which I assume you now mean to be 2% functionality of my brain I would neither be concerned about films or food and more than likely those decisions would be made for me. Your comment has pretty much ruined my entire day!

Having read all the above commemts, I think it's fair to say no one who has turned up on site has been refused entry using the voucher bar codes.
A few have enquired if they can use the vouchers at their local cinema and appear to have been (mis)advised saying they will not be valid. I have been misadvised before and then the supervisor has got them to work.
The list of 49 cinema's might be the only ones that work online? (Unless a comment disproves that) or just a list of the poor performing cinema's that neefed a plug.

With the Groupon deal, you don't actually pay for anything, so don't use a card, but as long as you have an odeon points card linked to your account, you can just pop that in the machine instead and it will find your tickets and print them.
Didn't find this out till last night, and the staff didn't realise either, so was very pleased when it worked as the queues were huge and we were cutting it fine for the movie (Conjuring 2 - very scary!!) :-).

It won't work at all if you try it for premier seats? I had a few goes before I found the caveat and then realised what was up.

As long as you only want to go on a tuesday or a wednesday. The groupon codes can be used on any day, so heat from me to counteract your cold.

What you should be able to do is go under "My Groupons" click "VIew Voucher" - then in that you will find your "Groupon Code" - it's a web page - copy and paste it and hey presto your codes appear! you can also get to email them to you once you reach that page or just print it - hope that helps

Having the same problem, the Goupon link isn't working. Groupon are looking into it, but probably won't do anything about it today. Not much help b/c I also planned to use the tickets today.

update - on webchat with Groupon they confirmed voucher works in all odeons except the 3 or so main ones in central london,
Chat advisor wasn't much (any) help with booking odeon tickets online process, just said to print and bring the codes into the Odeon...
Don't have much time now, was always going to be tight now with deal finishing so soon, so I just cancelled and they refunded me already...
ps. This is 2nd Groupon deal that i've had refunded which was good service from them (other one was UC4 groupon deal disaster)
so generally happy that they refund vouchers with no quibbles cheers

Sorry to state obvious but tickets only work on 2D films and standard seats - is that what you are trying to book ?
Finally used ours this week - booked online - saw the new Ghostbusters (seemed disjointed some parts were ok) and Tarzan (which we enjoyed)
Opening post
Not valid for the Secret Life of Pets (before 8 July 2016) or Independence Day (before 8 July 2016)

smallest screens in london
It's great for me though because my wife loves going to the cinema and I can't stand it, so she can go 5 times.

Make sure to read the T&C - online only for the moment (I have delivery saver - so "free" delivery) and just one pair of tickets per email address per day - will be in store soon as well. Tickets valid until November.
I hate how Oeeon always exclude the new films you actually want to see!
The instructions only mention redeeming them at the ticket desk.
3. The ticket code can be redeemed at the cinema box office using the barcode on the voucher, or online at ODEON.co.uk, the ODEON Mobile site or ODEON Apps using the unique ticket code on the voucher. Ticket code cannot be used on the ATMs
The end.
2 for £10 at Groupon doesn't seem like a good deal to me :stuck_out_tongue:
Does anyone go to the cinema by themselves?
If i buy these off ebay, what about blockbuster charges that odeon seem to be a fan of these days? Will i have to pay the extra blockbuster fee, or will it be covered by the ticket? any ideas?
Most sellers have a disclaimer
'except ODEON Leicester Square, The Lounge at Whiteleys, and BFI IMAX'
Slightly annoyed at the moment.
Thanks
with the 15% off code, this is £17 for 5..or £3.40 per ticket, so still 15% cheaper than your VUE...still a good deal for some!
Cinema Link
just goto the local sainsburys or tesco on the way to the cinema and you save afortune
Furthermore if I only had half a brain which I assume you now mean to be 2% functionality of my brain I would neither be concerned about films or food and more than likely those decisions would be made for me. Your comment has pretty much ruined my entire day!
the idea humans only use a small percentage of their brain is the stuff of movies. its a total myth.
Just to make you aware it can't be used for Imax showings. Also, bring your own food there, it's horrendously expensive!
£8.50 for two tickets
Personally in the Odeons I've been in the films I have wanted to see were relegated to small screens, and the seats uncomfortable.
Oh and typically the blockbusters were excluded from offers
We have a nicer Picturehouse cinema (well two of them) and they are about £1 more.
That is why 5 tickets for £17 is a good deal.
Your order is eligible for a refund. Click on Request My Refund and it will take you to a page where you can submit your request. Please expect your refund to be processed within 3 working days, back to your original method of payment.
A few have enquired if they can use the vouchers at their local cinema and appear to have been (mis)advised saying they will not be valid. I have been misadvised before and then the supervisor has got them to work.
The list of 49 cinema's might be the only ones that work online? (Unless a comment disproves that) or just a list of the poor performing cinema's that neefed a plug.
http://www.odeon.co.uk/offers/flash-sale/50off/c/#terms Not valid for The Conjuring 2 - details also on their Facebook page if anyone wants to take a look.
You can book online with this code - to do it at box office direct you need to show them email - but you can sign up in about a minute
EDIT - Not able to upgrade to Premier for a fee. Will ask management on the day.
