Yes this will be PSVR compatible. One of this games main focus was PSVR from the start

Unfortunalty yes, and i think made primarily for the VR, hence why the visuals and sound have all taken such a massive hit on what it could have been, if it were just a normal PS4 game, but Sony wanted this so, there you are.
I am sure all those with the VR headset will enjoy it, sad to think there will be a GT game i won't own.:disappointed:

this game looks awful lol. Anyone seen the graphics of this? Literally looks like a remaster of GT6.

This latest update looks ok,still not sure on the sound.
Isn't this like "Gran Turismo 7 Prologue" type of thing?

I think i read somewhere that they haven't improved the sound at all and cars still sound like low powered vacuum cleaners. Definitely a cash grab game.

Think they need to contact pcars for help with the sound.

This will be awesome in PSVR. I enjoyed 3D GT on PS3 a few years back

There's a video comparing old vs new sounds. They are massively improved. Also graphics are already far better now than when first revealed. There is no separate VR version. This version supports VR

Rather get the Assetto Corsa PS4 for £29 on TheGameCollection using the same code
Im really surprised by the lack of sound effects by GT games in general, All that work on track, car detail and audio is forgotten. Even really old racing games like F1 Grandprix (Microprose PC) has proper audio that portrayed other cars, tunnel effects, guteral car effects etc etc.
GT Sports though is at least a step in the right direction.

The sound is demonstrably better. The graphics while not spectacular are still good. It's still only 50% complete. Really looking forward to it.

This shoehorning vr into games is going to seriously ruin games even for people who wont buy a vr headset which is pretty much everyone. Just play the Resident Evil 7 demo and see how bad the graphics because the whole game is playable in vr and the graphics and textures are that I'm sure even RE6 looks better on a PS3. Hopefully this vr fad dies fast which it will so it stops wasting resources better spent elsewhere.

I hope it's a massive success. Nobody is shoehorning VR into GT sport. Im a big fan of PlayStation VR I've tried it several times and I can't wait to get it.

Played GT Sport yesterday on a GT racing simulator. It looks Classic GT.
I sucked btw....not used to using a wheel!

Classic GT ? I don't think you played any of the classic ones. I hate those super gt cars, what happened to all 'normal' cars like civics, evos etc where you can tune them from the scratch ? Was a massive fan of this series going back to PS1 and playing with my dad etc. The one on PS3 was still decent and my 600 bhp civic was kicking lambo's ass. But this looks nothing like all previous ones.

I knew that VR was going to kill this game stone dead when they would not confirm 1080/60fps on the PS4, in or out of VR mode, and because of the limitation of the VR tech the games also lost all weather, no night racing or ever dynamic day night racing, no single player, always online only, christ i read this and i said to myslef why kill what could be a triple A game just to sell VR to the limited amount of people who actually bought that VR headset, a stupendious decision.
What they been diong for 3 years. lol

27 Jun 161#28
There is weather, just not dynamic. It absolutely will run at 60fps. I think a lot of people seem to be confused about what this game is supposed to be. This is an exclusively esports oriented game. It's not GT7. It has an entirely different focus. If you don't want a serious esport racing sim, don't buy it. But stop acting like anybody ever said that this would be a typical GT game. Wait for GT7. I for one, can't wait.

Funny thing is they were planning on calling this GT7 but dropped it because they thought the lack of content and underwelming graphics and sound would hurt sales. Also it isn't even a stable 60fps as it regualy drops to even 30fps. Its very rarely 60fps.

Preordered, thanks op!! I'm getting frustrated at the lack of GT games on PS4 and their slow turnaround. How can MS produce a Forza or Horizon game on an annual basis and we have to wait 5-6 years for a game that's just not as good as it could be?!
darkspace100
27 Jun 16#30
Funny thing is I'm sure a developer like Bluepoint games could have just remastered GT6 back in 2014 and not only releasing it quicker but it would also look better than this game. Like you said what have they actually been doing for the past 3 years? Its laughable its called the 'real driving sim' when everything looks and sounds so bad.
darkspace100
27 Jun 16#31
Well its unfortunate for you as this game will bomb in sales. Driving games aren't that popular anymore and GT6 also flopped. This is also going head to head with alot of games releasing later in the year and theres barely any hype for it.

You answered your own question. They know mugs will still buy it so they dont bother improving anything. Stop blindly buying these games and then and only then will they improve. Money is the only language these companies understand.

27 Jun 16#34
No, they thought it wasn't fitting for the game. They actually said there's enough content to call it GT7 but they chose not to. And who judges a games frame rate at 50% completion. You can read far more insightful comments than mine on GTplanet and by all accounts, sim veterans are saying that it improves on previous GT games in every way. I don't care how many sales the game manages, so long as I enjoy it. And for those complaining about graphics, lets compare it to Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. GT Sport is already looking better
The game cannot maintain a 60fps period, they already admitted that, but not because the PS4 cannot do it at 1080p/60 fps, the game would have look glorious on the PS4 had they just stuck to making the next GT game for everybody, but no, they took the stupid decision to make it VR, painted themselves into a corner with the game by having to sacrificed so much simply for bloody VR and it limited tech, and then go and throw some band aids over the rest to try and sell it to normal PS4 owners.
I am scracthing my head at whoever thought this wa the way to go, when what they should have done was make the game for the PS4 full blown for that hardware, then took that and downgraded it for VR support, i am sure the VR owners would be happy just to get a VR game for GT.

Yeah it was more of a vent than anything else. I get the feeling this game won't be that popular and they'll learn- but I need my racing game fix :disappointed:
