yes one time use for the 10% voucher - max discount of £35, so probably best using it on a higher value item or making one transaction with multiple items (assume that works)
One time only I've used it for this so I can't use again

The OP's Deal?.
Or this one:
Edimax CV-7438nDM N600 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Entertainment Bridge for Smart TV, Blu-ray, Gaming & Music Streaming, for £16.99, was £50.99 (Save £34.00), at 7DayShop - Hot UK Deals
Bought one last time, I can hear the test sound great, but that's it. Done a factory restore and tried again, same result. Don't know if it's my talktalk hg633 router (not on compatibility list) but surely if the test sound works it should be OK?

Its for people who have non-wireless speakers. If whatever you use to play music is not wireless, this will be very useful for you. If you have Bluetooth enabled speakers, you don't really need this. You need to have WiFi to be able to use the Chromecast Audio.

5 Jun 16#17
Can I use it with my TV like a sound system
OdhranC
5 Jun 16#18
As long as you have aux in audio jack socket you can.

5 Jun 16#19
I should add, if you intent to connect this to the tele, you should go for the Chromecast as it will allow you to cast both visual and audio content. Would be much more worthwhile.

5 Jun 16#20
Basically you can connect to anything with a aux socket

I have already ordered it my mine intention was to throw a party next week and use this to play music from my iPhone with a speaker system that has a aux

You have to use a cast enabled app to stream music, Spotify and Google Play Music are the obvious ones, but of you just want to play the local music that is on the phone you need to use an app like Allcast or Cinch

5 Jun 16#23
Mini rant: I really dislike that google has closed the development of cast to only "approved" devices. Everyone who rants at Apple for their expensive products know that Apple's air play is open and you can build your own devices to send or receive audio and/or video.
If you have a rasp pi connected to a set of speakers, you can very easily stream music to it from any Apple device, but tough luck with an Android device.

Thanks but can't I play videos or just music files do I need a app because it looks like hard work now I'm regretting it as I know I won't use it seems like a waste of money and I would just shove it in the storeroom thanks but what's the easiest and cheapest way to play music from my phone or tv thanks

Its easy once you start using it. Trust me. If you have music stored on your phone, just use Google Play Music to cast it to your Chromecast device. If you have no music on your phone (or if friends at your party want to play something else) other options are Spotify or YouTube apps. I'm sure there are tons more.Check out Youtube now so you're ready to go when you get it

Maybe
Maybe NOT the cheapest? (as OP's Deal is just a little bit cheaper than this one, but ..... )
But toe to toe, it could prove to be by far an easier option mind?.

I've tried Allcast for my local music library and it doesn't like to play all files unfortunately. I'd like to try Cinch but I use Android and love my Galaxy Note 4. Can you suggest any other apps? It will be good as I can't access all my music library on my Mercedes Command system. By the time it recognises my iPod Classic or USB drive I've finished my short journey :disappointed:

Don't you guys have 'Cast screen' on your Android phones?
I have it and use that, it will then stream whatever audio I have playing on my phone irrelevant if the app is cast enabled or not!
Works perfect with poweramp, youtube, esfile explorer, iplayer ..etc ..etc
Admittedly my phone is running a custom ROM, but my rents Moto G's are stock ROM's and they have 'Cast Screen' also ??

I've got a question that hopefully someone can offer some insight to other than some smart ass comment telling me to google it.
If i plug this into a device playing sound, can you broadcast it to a bluetooth speaker or is the purpose of this device to plug into a speaker without bluetooth capability and allow you to transmit to that?

Drains battery that way.

I bought one and it is a faff with Google Music. You have to upload the tracks you want up to Google and then download them again to your phone (apparently)
I have a 50GB of music on an SD card played through Poweramp. Google play plays it on my phone, but won't cast it to this device. It's almost too frustrating for me to bother with.
Anyone have a quick solution?

I used the cast screen. If you have Marshmallow (maybe Lollipop too?) pull down the screen from the top and you can cast to Chromecast Audio and Video devices

6 Jun 16#42
Can you post a BT Soundbar that costs £14 ?
vidl
6 Jun 16#43
No, you don't need to download them again, just stream from Google. The Cast device(s) will do the actual streaming direct from the 'net, so once you've told the Cast what to play using your phone you can turn your phone off if you want to.
Northerndave
6 Jun 16#44
I still have to upload my music though?
vidl
6 Jun 16#45
Yes, if you want to use the Play Music app to stream off the 'net - then yes. Advantages are many fold - from having your music available wherever you are on the planet to a zero battery drain on your phone/tablet when playing thru your Cast device. And it's free for 50,000 tracks, so, really, it's a no-brainer!

That's fine, but I did say I was already familiar with AllCast, as I use it + others anyway?.
It's the Cinch App I said I'd never heard of, etc.
But thanx for the useful AndroidAllCast link anyway for those that could make use of it. :-)

I'm wfh today, so will try that and hopefully I'll get to love Google Music

I'd rather waste a bit of battery than pointlessly waste bandwidth streaming music I already have locally on my phone (which negates also the whole global access ting as if you have your tunes on your phone (like most people|) then it's no different as you need your phone to initiate the google music stream in the first place!)
Also Google Music is useless compared to PowerAmp imho.
Plus provided you have a decent WiFi setup with a good signal I have found the battery drain to not be significant enough to be an issue. (It's not like you're creating a WiFi Hotspot!)
But hey, horses for courses, whatever suits people the best works for me :-)

But for anyone that's interested, there's an Android equivalent of AllCast at least?.
As I use the Android version of AllCast myself (amongst 1 or 2 Android 'others' too, lol). :-)
I can't comment on Cinch mind?, as I've never heard of it?, lol.
But maybe someone else could like comment some more too upon Cinch also like?. :-)
