I got one of these a few months ago. I didn't get any custom charge. But it did take around 2-3 weeks from dispatch to get to me.

The Japanese one is abundant, the US one is rare, the Australian one is even rarer. The figures are of course the same, just the packaging is different between the three. If you're collecting EU figures in packaging, the Australian one is the one you want. Prices do seem to be falling however for all of them.

By PAL, do you mean the Australia/New Zealand one, or did it actually get a European release? :O

Glad there finally dropping in price

AUS. Sorry, even though it's completely incorrect, I refer to them as PAL/NTSC etc, I guess it's just because they are used in a videogame. There hasn't been a Euro release.................yet.

I thought it had reduced to anything > £15 and outside of Europe was subject to customs shenanigans and charges.

amiibos aren't worth much nowadays so not like that matters.

True that, but artificial value is there in regards to regional differences.

The US version on Amazon is going for $42 = £29 so it's one of the few amiibos that still has a good resale value but the days of when amiibos used to go for high prices are mostly over. Thank god I sold my amiibo collection before the resale value crashed.

Still good price for this Amiibo though

Ok if you're going to rip it open as soon as it arrives and don't collect them as such fair do's but if you do it's all about the original America issue print in pristine packaging.
I know I will get loads of bunny for saying this but that's how it is, if you just want a gold Mario you might as well have got the standard red one from the Super Mario series and sprayed him gold with Airfix paint.
The Japanese/Chinese print on the blister pack makes this about as desirable as piles for those who want to keep their Amiibo mint in unopened packagingl

Spot on what you said.
Can anyone confirm if they did / did not incur any additional customs charges for receiving their item?

From personal experience they tend to give you the squeeze when it's only around the 15 quid mark and it's not been added in check out but don't quote me on it
