I was selling shaving products for a while. Honestly, no, I don't think so.
Aldi 5 blade razor, and I always use a quality shaving gel, not foam. Gel is much slicker!
Finish off with a nice spray of Creed ;-)

Sceptical as I was about 5 blade razors, I purchased Aldi's own brand.
They are an excellent product.
I can't remember the price offhand, but I think it is about £4 for the razor with one blade, and then a similar price for 4 replacement blades.
Each blade easily lasts a month. I tend to shave every second day.
As for double edge shaving .....
I have an Edwin Jagger £22 razor, a £26 badger brush, and a big selection of de blades..... they do not shave as well as my Aldi items.

As I've said wilkinson sword extreme 3 comfort sensitive 4 in a pack got them half price at tesco £2 got 4 packs 16 razors for £8 one razor has so far lasted 2 months shave every other day and the lube strip hasn't faded at all !
Even better just buy an open blade cut throat razor - German Bavarian steel is the best £30-40 but you can get a cheapo from USA for £7.

People are suggesting in the reviews its just made of silicon? Is this true because I'll just get a cheap piece of silicon bakeware to use instead?

Nothing comes even close to DE shaving. 10-pack of Feather razor blades = 40 to 50 shaves for £3.95.

I ordered one also just out of curiosity, I've a proshield blade with 9 weeks use on it, I'm going to see how it performs after using the Razorpit and will reply here to give my opinion on it.

I got sick of these prices too & converted to DE shaving at a fraction of the cost. An acquired taste I know but stick with it, take a little more time shaving & once you get over the initial difficult period it pays you back in spades.I get a closer shave than I ever did with this crap.

I prefer the proglide coated ones. Saying that these fusion blades imo are the only blades that stop the ingrowns.
However, they are ridiculously expensive so I'll just join the designer stubble trenders and use clippers.

Must be some serious Bum fluff you got going on there! lol
Ive got a razor pit and although i get nowhere near a year out of one fusion, i do get 2-3 weeks longer (Shaving every other day)
I dont think he thought that one through properly.

i found it to be completely opposite. my experience with the proshield was they were almost blunt before i even used them!! needless to say they were a crap shave
One fusion blase now lasts me a year. I have done so for 3 years now.

This isn't as good value as they had the other day for the 6 pack Proshield blades £1.16 per blade, these standard Fusion blades are 1.25 each and nowhere near as good.
I've been using the same Proshield blade for 9 weeks now, after using i shake off any water then submerge it in mineral oil, I know it's sharp enough for another week or possibly 2 weeks, who knows how long it will last.
I never found these original Fusion blades that great, they dull super fast, I'm super impressed with the Proshild blades, I bought some when Asda had a deal for the 4 packs.
Also I've been through all the double edged shaving, I would still be doing it that way if I had to pay RRP (recommended retail price) for these blades, I've bought enough Proshield blades to do a few years at this rate haha, I'll go back to using my Merker Futur with feather blades when there is no more Proshield blades on offer, either that or when I've too much growth and need the versatility of the Futur with it's variable opening to allow longer hair to be cut.

I always grumble at paying for these expensive blades, and knowing they cost under a penny a blade to produce makes me fee really ripped off. After trying some wilkinson sword disposable 3 blade, then shortly after looking like I just started in a slasher movie I'll just take the hit on the extra. I'm just pleased I didn't go full on for a gentleman's shave off the batt. Some things are worth paying for.
After every use run them backwards up your arm (or an old pair of jeans) to give them a clean. They (fusion) tend to last a couple of months for me now (although I don't shave daily).
Ofcourse if your getting on well with the cheaper blades even better
