Just visited my local Co Op in Stopsley, and saw that children visiting can take a free peice of fruit whilst they are in store. Apparently it's quite a new but wide spread offer for Co Op stores. I think it's a brilliant idea!

To be honest all it takes is a few people to mess it up for everyone.
These kinds of deals need people not to take the mick.

All it takes is for people to have kids then the rest of us get stuck with paying higher prices to feed them for free. It really just is the few that don't feed their kids before they go out.
Lets face it a free would be more impressed if it was a three course meal not a manky bit of fruit that they bin at the end of the day

I would visit Co op if it was a piece of fruit for kid and a bottle of beer for dad.

You should have posted this in deals look at the heat tesco got for the same thing
maybe feed them breakfast before you go then, or lunch, or dinner or a snack.
Its as if there's plenty of chances to full their bellies before they go in to a shop, and yet parents like you think its acceptable to let their grubby little children eat stuff whilst wondering around a shop.

They do this at my local Tesco. Great initiative.

Great trolling post from obviously someone who doesn't have or like kids, time to grow up :disappointed:

At my local Asda it's not just the children helping themselves. I think families go out regularly for their free evening meal! I've seen men stuffing in pork pies to get rid of the evidence before reaching the till and parents breaking up French sticks to hand out to their children to eat before having to pay for it.

Wow! Who peed through your letterbox this morning? Was it my 5 year old eating his Free banana from Co-Op? I do apologise

How old is a kid to qualify? Is a teenager allowed to take some of that fruit and if so up to what age?

What absolute cobblers, if you actually had any experience of kids you'd realise kids get hungry ALL THE TIME, no (normal) parent thinks I know I'll starve my kids then go shopping that'll cheer everyone up. None of us want a full on child strop whilst shopping but you know it happens & kids get hungry might be something to do with them constantly you know Errrr GROWING
If you're going to moan about prices going up then why should pizza go up in price to fund a special offer on beer that I don't drink? Its just the way shops work.
Amazes me the people that bitch about kids yet don't have enough any of their own, come back & moan when you d got your own. Aimed all the moaners not just one person.

That's right I don't have children but those that do are obviously experts at all things. Have a quick look at the viper pit that's MUMSNET. Wow who would have thought unprotected sex and the subsequent pregnancy would make all these parents qualified nutritionists, dentists, doctors, legal advisors and the list carries on)
YOUR KID GETS HUNGRY YOU PAY TO FEED THEM, I know it's an amazing concept but why should my bills go up so YOUR kids can eat for free? Your child doesn't get hungry all the time and if they do YOU are doing something terribly terribly wrong. But hey you got pregnant you must be an expert on all things nutrition.
Although technically my mind would change slightly if I took my mum to Tesco and she could get me a free banana as I am her child.
As a footnote, the Government says I can have a free piece of fruit too

by you are a really nice guy, as I said in an earlier post stop trolling, what harm does it do to you nothing, so just move along and leave those who will produce the kids who will pay the taxes to pay your pension and keep the NHS going for you to get a piece of fruit. Oh and don't come back saying you have private health insurance and a pension, just move along.

I'm all too happy for you to pay for what you produce or "reproduce" and stop putting my bills up in the process. I don't have kids and shouldn't be paying for those that do. Although now you mention it the sooner we move the health insurance so you pay for what you use the better in many respects.

none of your bills are put up by it, if you think that's the case then you really are very sad :disappointed:
