These are pretty good. Obviously no comparison to the full blooded £100+ arcade sticks, but I find them wonderful for MAME and general stick use. They're about half the size of the full size sticks too.

This not PS4 specific? Is it the same as the old ps3 sticks where you have to have your ps4 controller on and go to the options to select this stick with both controlling the character? Found that awkward with my existing SF4 Tourny stick :disappointed:

I've owned many a Hori arcade stick over the years. Never seen or used one of these particular models. And I'm hearing a lot of complaints.

Either way, Hori is a fantastic company. Their build quality is 2nd only to Sanwa. £30 for a new Hori stick has to be hot :man:

I appreciate the info and i asume that Real Arcade Pro 4 must be amazing but sorry but are you saying that a stick for around £100 is in the same price that one that only cost £30 ???

I use a fake Saturn controller on my ps3 for street fighter. Ds3 dpad gave me blisters, and it lacks 2 buttons from the face.

Given the price you can find some of the real fightsticks (SF5 sanwa setup on here a couple weeks ago for £100) I wouldn't bother.

If you've got even a vague interest in emulating the arcade experience then its worth paying the extra, it was only when a mate of mine witnessed me thrashing the bejesus out of mine during a SF session that he understood why. The punishment it takes. Arcade quality parts aren't just a sales gimmick, they are designed to be durable.

A good USB stick should last you as long as the USB standard is around regardless of game or platform (i regularly use my PS4 HRAP4 on a R-pi) so its worth the same consideration as you would give your mouse and keyboard.

I have the mini 3 for PS3 and this looks almost identical. I would suspect the only difference other than colour is PS4 compatibility.
I use the mini 3 on SF4 and can hit every move and it makes me a better/quicker player vs a joypad.
Of course this ain't no full size stick (so it can move around more unless you wedge it between your legs) and the buttons are smaller and aren't upgradeable (likely a PCB as per the mini 3) but this is over 70 quid cheaper than any valid alternatives so this makes a great entry level stick for casual gamers and a good deal IMO.

I have not used this stick but I have used the ps3 only version. I purchased it for a laugh from eBay once it was cheap and at a worst case scenario I thought I could use the PCB to make my own stick.
Jesus I would warn anyone from using this stick, if you know about fighting sticks this thing is incredibly inadequate, if you have large hands it is inadequate, and I have to say if you're looking for a starter stick so you can move up to a higher level stick this thing is inadequate.
The only reason I can imagine anyone would want to use one of these is if they have tiny hands and don't move their hands too much.
It doesn't have any weight to it and moves around if I do a quarter rotation on the stick. I seriously would not recommend buying this as a starter stick at all. If you want it as a novelty or a toy yeah go for it. Just don't expect much.

Same here. The DS4 is a bit poor for Street Fighter. I also have a Madcatz TE and Hori RAP4 but always going back to the DS3.

I've had one of these for about a year. Solid, well made product. I use it mostly for MAME and the difference it makes over standard controller is huge. The size is just right for me. Not tiny, not huge. I definitely recommend it.

I use an original Sony PS3 controller on my laptop for streetfighter.

It has USB so will work on the PC no problem like all the other wired controllers for the PS3
