Yup. My Mrs still has an iPhone 5 and I find it fiddly to do anything on now. Websites (scroll, scroll, scroll), emails, basically everything looks tiny on it by comparison :disappointed:

No, just found a couple of good prices on there. Certainly worth checking around first. Can use paypal with them.

Would this be a better phone than my Lumia 735? Aren't Chinese phones full of malware and such? What's limited about 4G and would it work on Three? Will it run Google Play Store and is it fast enough to run games? Can a post just be a list of questions on HUKD?

i would also consider the mi4c as I noted as it's only a little more in price but has an upgraded processor which makes all the difference, no SD card support though so depends what you value most

A few keystrokes on a website called Google will bring give you most of those answers (have this one on me):
Having moved up to 5.5" phones when the Smart Ultra came out, I can't imagine going back to anything less in screen size now, would feel like an old Nokia handset

My DIL was a real iPhone fangirl witha a 5S. Loved it, she said. But, curiously, always bothering my son by using his LG G4 (it seriously looked like a toy beside the G4). After a few months she finally asked me to source her a 5.5 inch phone from China so I duly obliged with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro for about 115 quid. She just wasn't willing to pay Apple's ridiculous asking price for an iPhone 6s Plus. Came in 10 days and she couldn't be happier.

Yeah that's also my concern. That half inch diagonal increase is big step-up in usable screen real-estate.

I had mine for nearly a year now and does all I need from the phone very well - email, maps, navigation, casting Showbox on my TV, office apps etc. The only downside is camera which is good on paper but average at best in real life. I will also echo Kenneth131 post about good phone support and Xiaomi MUI. Unlike many other Chinese manufacturers Xiaomi puts a good effort and makes regular updates to their ROM's.
For this kind of money it is very hard to beat on features.

depends what your after in a phone and features you look for as to whether this is better or not, on the whole I would say photos tend not to be as good on Chinese handsets but they are not terrible just not as good as what we are used to.
any malware or adware is the result of resellers installing their own version of the operating system, there is however a great developer community for xiaomi phones which run an os called MIUI. I would suggest that when you get any Chinese handset that you download an official ROM from the manufacturer website and install it to ensure you are on an official non customised ROM from any reseller. easily done so not any problem to do this.
4G works fine on all but o2 as Chinese phones typically do not have band 20 unlocked for use, it's not that the phones can't use band 20 due to hardware limitations, its that the band is not unlocked for use in the software. only o2 rely on band 20 exclusively so as long as your not on o2 you will be able to use 4G without any issue.

Surprised this is getting cold, it seems a major upgrade from my moto g 2nd gen, and that was bought at £60 second hand a month ago (returning cause it's faulty lol)
Hahah this just reminded me I need to vote tomorrow
great price but processor was / is woefully, it would be fine for you if your not doing a lot of multitasking, when you start that it heats up quite alot , from memory they have the mi4c at a good price which is an improved mi4i
