The listing and Tesco description says including 4*2000 mAh batteries however if you look at the packaging picture it says 4*1300 mAh batteries.huge difference in performance..also it seems this partucular charger comes with 1300 mAh batteries only on every other website so chances are 2000 mAh is a typo and these are 1300 mAh not 2000.

I bought one of these earlier in the week and the pack I bought came with 4 1300 mAh batteries.
I took on board the advice on this thread and returned the charger.

Or perhaps Tesco are dishonest. The sort of people that would cook the books and lie to shareholders.

11 hours to charge AA battery's? That stinks. I've got an energiser one off amazon that charges 2x AA battery's in about 20 minutes. Only cost like £15 too. This deal is cold from me.

Hence why these are on sale for cheap..
Although some people say those fast chargers deplete battery life so fast..but I'd go for 20 min vs 11 hours any day.

I think some of you are getting confused and assuming the higher the 'mAh' the quicker the charge will be, which appears to be the opposite according to the quoted charging times taken from the energizer manual:
Approx Charging Times (H)
AA Energizer® recharge 1300mAh: 5.0hr
AA Energizer® recharge 2000mAh: 8.0hr
AA Energizer® recharge 2300mAh: 9.0hr
AAA Energizer® recharge 700mAh: 6.0hr
AAA Energizer® recharge 850mAh: 7.0hr
This item is also available on Amazon for £8 here. (with 1300mAh batteries)

Always found that rechargeable last about a quarter of the time of a normal alkaline battery (at best) stopped using them in the 80s !
So may have improved since then.

Energizer are better than Duracell, so this is a bargain.

To be fair I've got 2300mah battery's with that charger and four battery's go from empty to full in an hour and I use them in my Xbox controller and I get a good two weeks usage out of each pair of battery's

These packs are now £3.75. They were this price in both Tesco stores I visited today and it also looks to be online. Arguably the price is worth it for the batteries alone.
My local store also had the packs of 4 x Tesco own brand ready to use rechargeable AAA batteries for £1.85, but they had sold out.
