Looks like EA are discounting a few titles, probably to do with E3. Needs PS+ for this price, dirt cheap :)
EDIT: Interestingly the mobile site lists this on PS+ as £14.99, looks like a mis-print :D

Thanks OP , I'll never get around to finishing it so not too bothered about DLC . I've got Fallout 4 and The Witcher for months and yet to start them so hell why not buy another 200+ hours game !

There's loads of content for the £5.49 edition; if you're planning on seeing it through (which this is a game worth doing) get the GoTY if you can, has a few extra quest lines and it's a bargain at £12.99 (separately it's about £6 an addon, value wise it's more than worth it).

Traded in my GOTY edition for £8 and then picked this up for £10 as I prefer digital these days and I already have all the dlc purchased from the codes in my old GOTY edition.

Surely £9.99 from Argos for GOTY is a better deal?

Wow that's a fantastic feature! I wish more games had the option.

Is it advisable to have played the other games too, or can you go into this as a new player?
PS, what's the install size please if anyone has access, I can't check.

Not really ; this plays as a stand alone title too. Cracking game, even without all the dlc

You can go in as a new player, they also have a nice feature that let's you log on the website so if you haven't played the first two games/want to change your playthrough you can go through all the options in first two game to personalise this game to affect dialogue and story.

I'm not an RPG nut but enjoy the Fallout / Elder Scrolls games. How accessible is this or is it a total geek fest?

goty edition is the one to go for, the deluxe only has mounts and weapons as far I can see, the goty version has all dlc and the extras in the deluxe version?

Sorry to bang on about Dragon Age on PS4, but there are 3 versions for sale
1. Regular Edition down from £15.99 to £10.39 (No DLC) - a 35% reduction
2. GOTY Edition down from £29.99 to £16.99 (All DLC) - a 43% reduction
3. Deluxe Edition down from £64.99 to £9.49 (?!?!) (Some DLC) - an 85% reduction!!!
So obviously option 3 is the one to go for, i think the the DLC difference between deluxe and GOTY are more actual areas and quests in the GOTY
Option 3 was the most overpriced hence why the discount is higher, the dlc in the GOTY is proper story dlc in the other on the DLC isn't that substantial.

Shocking price considering the Canadian PSN.

I still haven't finished (or got close afaik) the main game and I don't have any DLC. It has taken me 70 hours so far and seems to be an enormous game.
Currently on the back burner for other games but it is really good if RPGs are your thing!

Is the DLC actually worth it for this game, or is it a lot of padding?
Sub tenner is very tempting, but I'm guessing on a game like this there is already plenty of content, so is the DLC also worth the splurge?

I've yet to play the game at all but it's a good 15hrs of content but the base game is pretty big without it.

the game is amazing and if you like rpg's then you won't want to finish when you complete the main game so the dlc is definitely worth it. all three add about 30+ total hours to an already huge game. plus you get to kill some more dragons.

Edit - It does not this does. £17 for the game of the year version from PSN which is also a great deal.
