Intense game. First time I came up against one of the Summoners I was fighting everything else in the room but it wouldn't stop coming. I realized then you had to kill the Summoner first as it was bringing the other demons on. So grab your chainsaw and chase that thing around til you catch it and disembowel it in a shower of gore. The bloodshed is truly awesome in this new Doom.

traded this in for £38 store credit at game yesterday. It will be £20 soon. I'll bite then

I found this game simply awful and just a cash in on the name. The name DooM should carry so much more innovation. Such a shame :disappointed:

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Possibly the best game I've ever played on PS4, and doesn't look like it will dip in price for a long while yet

Innovation to the FPS genre? It paved the way for it.

I haven't played this iteration but I have only heard good things about it.

After playing for a few hours today I have to echo what seems to be the general opinion about doom 4, excellent campaign, woeful multiplayer, the multiplayer feels soooo retro, in a bad way, but the campaign definitely makes up for this.

Nearly at the end of the campaign, while it's been good, it get's very repetitive, certain levels make it feel like a platformer at times too.

I know it paved the way, hence why I expected innovation with the new re-hash. It's a cash in, we'll forget this game in 3 years.

Love this game, Got the plat a few days ago and loving the multiplayer (best fps this gen). For me doom multiplayer>UC4 multiplayer.
