Just need someone to sort me out with a PS4 compatible Competition Pro controller now.

Had to take the suckers off the bottom too. Awesome memories, pretty sure this will be tripe with a controller. Just like the snes version etc

Got this Friday. It is shockingly bad. Unfinished by a large margin, so many things missing, broken AI, lack of tutorial, sound is borked... Obvious that it has been rushed - by about 6 months from the looks of it.

Devs admitted they rushed the release for Euro 2016. As it is right now, it bears more resemblance to an early access game than a full fledged release. And the classic controls has been botched somewhat by determining speed via analog stick. Game is way too hectic for such a sensitive input. Buy at your own peril.

I'm really liking it now I've spent several hours on it. It still needs work and features adding but I'm having great fun online.

Already selected that option & got the refund. Just need to return by 25th July.
One of my friends has opened their copy & agrees with the review. I think I'll swerve on even downloading it now.

Nice one, have you tried that before? No problems?

Just select 'performance or quality not accurate' and the return is free.
Sunk a good 3 hours into it last night and it's starting to feel more like kick off of old. Netplay was solid for me all night with minimal lag in places. Great stuff.

Great price, great game, bought today and the game will develop into something special. Watched Dino Dini on Twitch all night tonight talking about the game and watching him play. This is what it was all about then (1980's), this is what its all about now.... love it. BUY IT!

Seems you need to read Dino's flow-charts to understand how to play the game.
I suppose a lot of reviews will be from people who just aren't giving it enough time, it's not something you can pick up straight away.
Just watching his Twitch stream and he was just explaining that he didn't have much money left so was forced to get it out in order to get some income. Compromises had to be made.

He has never played the original clearly... Almost all his gripes apply to the original...
Have you played the orignal games?
The ball was for a good few hours impossible to run with... The rules of football were barely present... Slide tackles were brutal... (As they were in real life)
His review of the actual game play actually made me remember what the originals were like

Amazon don't charge for return postage? You can drop off at a locker or post office for free...
This kind of information should be ingame, a control tutorial would have been an obvious thing to include?
This game doesn't feel as intuitive as the originals that's for sure.

Apparently fair few bugs. Might as well wait to see how they're fixed/how the game plays, if this is the price on PSN isn't like its going to go up so you're better off waiting than jumping in and finding out it's a bit unfinished.

This is one of, if not my all time favourite games (the original Kick off 2 that is) I bought this last night and had a few games and I'm afraid to say its not very good. It doesn't feel as smooth as the original. Its awkward to play. Sliding tackles are extremely hit and miss if you actually pull one off. Passing and trapping is very flaky and on setpieces your player has the tendency to kick the ball in the total wrong direction. I'm very disappointed as I adore the original.
Maybe things can be improved with patches but it does feel unfinished and feels nothing like the original imo.

No one can beat the Zip stick with it's gorgeous black and yellow design. Can't believe I sold my Amiga to my mate all those years ago. Nostalgia gets the better of me these days

Will it not be about 3.99 to return by postage costs?, any way of free postage back to Amazon?

If you're getting this for the nostalgia hit, why wouldn't you just get the original Kick Off's / emulator etc?
Seems like using a PS4 for this is like cracking nuts with a sledgehammer. (And paying £8 for the privilege).
But what do I know, each to their own. I actually loved Kick Off 3 which most people hated.
Is it the guy himself posting the game on here every other week or what? Lol, I'm as sad as every other rose tinted glasses wearing 80s kid on this site, but come on, this was always gonna be hot garbage. Wait a few months and it'll be a couple of quid on the store. It might even be patched/finished by then seeing as it looks as though it's been shoved through the door to cash in on the Euros....

Reading a few Facebook comments and it does sound a bit unfinished. I'll still buy it tomorrow though.

I really should just buy it to support the guy, I had so much enjoyment from the original and it was a pirated copy.

Didn't think it'd be that cheap. I really hope it's half-decent, but alarm bells are ringing now.
Opening post
This is cheaper than Amazon £12.99 , Game £14.99
You will need to search for it via the PlayStation store

Not sure I could go back to that flavour of football now, though.Even with a ZipStick Superstick.
I will hold off getting this for a few weeks can see the disc version getting cheaper and as everyone says it's not finished
