Poundland in Glasgow Sauchiehall Street had Colgate Visible Action piled up today, the box all in various foreign languages apart from the title.
From the logo and the reference to colour changing technology I thought it may be what is known in the UK as Colgate Proof and it is indeed, turns blue as it works just as the tv ad says.
Colgate Proof in the UK is £3 to £4 in most stores making it a real bargain in Poundland.

I paid £4 for this in Asda. It just stained my sink blue...

Colgate state about this toothpaste that it 'turns into a blue active foam as it cleans to break up plaque and fight bacteria.' Along with the use 'proof' it implies that by turning blue you know it's cleaning your teeth. It turns blue as it has blue beads and will turn blue even if not in your mouth. No proof that it's detecting plaque, fighting bacteria or even cleaning your teeth.
The price is Poundland is great but don't be fooled that this toothpaste is any better that other Colgate varieties. Certainly isn't worth the typical £4 price for the larger size.

This is like the blue staining tablets available from boots which tell you where there is plaque I guess. I picked up Colgate Optic white toothpaste made in Brazil from Poundland other week but did not see this one.

Because not all varieties of Colgate are usually available in poundland. This is a new Colgate launch and as its usually £3/£4 in supermarkets I felt it worth posting.
Had it been a standard Colgate type I wouldnt have bothered
