The blue angels and red arrow have the same outside ring as opposed to this one which has metal dots but for £250 saving i can live with the dots

Heat added a lot of watch for the money, plus it's a eco drive and in my experience they last for a very very long time.

Just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think it's ugly as hell! I like cleaner minimal faces though and that's far too busy for me.

I thought the same, but after seeing it the flesh its not so busy. I've had one for years now and it is still going strong. Doesn't need to be in the light that often either, in fact I've left it for 6 months at a time and its always had charge when I went back to it.

I find that alot with some things online, look a lot better in the flesh. I do like Citizens. Not as much as I like Omegas now but what I like and what I can afford/ am willing to spend on a watch is a different matter :smiley:.

Hmm. I think this is deceptive, if a watch has titanium on the watch face, I really think the watch itself should be made of titanium: surely they can't say it is just a name.

£249 off this one, not entirely sure I've ever seen it at £499 though. Prefer that, all titanium and less busy, not radio controlled though.

I've had this titanium watch for over 9 years now. Never needed to change the time or battery :smiley: use it for work and feel lost without it. I bought mine from eBay for £255 open box from America. Wish they come out with a Skyhawk 3. Defo worth buying this model, proven to last you 9 years +

There's a couple of other radio controlled Eco-Drive watches with sapphire glass, but not titanium, listed on HUKD at the moment.

There was some talk of citizen offering a sapphire upgrade if you sent the watch to them and paid a small fee (£50 or so). I never had it done to my watch but might be worth someone contacting citizen customer services to see if they still offer that service for this watch.

Great watch, fairly large and busy, but full of features.

I collected my watch yesterday, it is definitely Titanium. Also, the £15 discount still available on store (till 19th, you need to do return and immediately re-buy). The coupon is issues for any £10 purchase, worth £15 discount against a £70 or more offer. It's a bit long way around but you can get something worth £15 for (effectively) free.

I contacted citizen service and got the below reply.

Dear Sir

Thank you for your email. As your watch did not originally come with a sapphire glass we are unable to fit one as the dimensions of your case are very slightly different and the watch will be compromised on the water resistancy.

That makes no sense. The dimensions are different (to what?) and they cannot fit a sapphire crystal? Surely they are the manufacturers and they can get sapphire crystals of any size. Hmmmmn

Sounds like some lazy customer services rep fobbed you off.

I read in some forums that in the UK the skyhawk version which comes with a sapphire crystal (JY0080-62E) is usually a few hundreds of pounds dearer and they don't want people buying this version of the watch and upgrading the glass. So they discontinued doing it.

collected the watch today. It is Titanium case and bracelet. If anyone is looking at replacing the strap with a leather one, you can't do it.

The images of the strap and lug from the back, show that it is replaceable just like any other bracelet. Can you show us a picture of your watch?

Mine looks exactly the same. From the front it looks like it is not replaceable. I probably am wrong.

It's a good bracelet with no air gaps. But it is replaceable, if you look at the back, you can see small gaps whereby a small tool can be used to dislodge the pins that hold the strap in place. It is a great bracelet and I've not found any reason to replace it except for aesthetics.

Yes. Given its light weight, I will never replace it too.
