Had 8 quid to spend, so had a choice of this or two bottles of Blue Nun!!
Think I did right by choosing this!!!!

Thanks, I went for the two bottles of Blue Nun, to re-live my Student days.
Show off, we made do with Thunderbird and mad dog 20/20!

I found Thunderbird blue is still available on amazon but it's 15 quid so 300% dearer than it was 15 years ago... And no sign of red :'(

Wouldn't be surprised if they send you a bottle of Pomagne instead, after the balls up they made of my shop. :sunglasses:

Fantastic price, I recently did a booze cruise to Calais and these were over £10 a bottle there, normally £14 here

What year was it? I've had it before for £8 at Tesco and it was a 2014, which is too young. It was OK, but not the classic taste.
I like the Costco offerings, usually between £13-£15 a bottle, I've had a few different years and really liked the 2009 ( I think they had some 2006 recently).

Just because it carries this well known name doesn't mean it's a good wine... Just saying. A lot of tripe come out this area too and you are paying for the name. I hope it is good and you enjoy it! Happy weekend folks!
You are totally right....... it's not the best CNduP but it is a rather nice everyday wine for £8 .... just spend a bit more on a better bottle for those special occasions :stuck_out_tongue:
6 bottles bought, good spot and thanks

I used to think this stuff was an old music hall joke.
Never thought it really existed.

You can always get a decent wine for less than this. As an example Gallo Pinot Noir (which in my opinion is the best supermarket wine available) is £5 in Tesco currently. ASDA have McGuigan Shiraz for £4 I think which is better that CNDP. £8 for any bottle of wine! They saw you coming a mile off!
