I remember this being the 'in' watch to have when I was about 12, though I think it had blue on the dial back then. I was so jealous as all my friends had one except me who's watch made a cock a doodle noise at every hour

Agreed. They used to have lights such as this that were really bad, then they started using electroluminescent lights, following in Timex's footsteps. I genuinely have no idea why they stopped :s

"..a leader in wrist technology..". Wrist technology. Only a marketer could come up with such ridiculous phrasing...

Well with being a leader in wrist technology we have to assume that the watches are probably manufactured in the Wan-King province of China;-)

As a child you were unambitious - it was all about the Casio calculator watch.

Could be a good holiday watch if you're going to the beach and places where it could get damaged.
Reminds me of the watches I wanted when I was about 8 years old, and there's still a bit of me that wants it. :stuck_out_tongue:

It should be genuine as they're not too hard to get hold of new for £15-18.

Probably being shipped from Switzerland & is eligible for Low Value Consignment Relief (LVCR).
Awful music but it gives you a better idea of what it looks like. The light looks pretty poor on it.

Is there a version like this but with
a) a Velcro strap
b) possibly slightly smaller (they used to make a model without a map, but still with world time as a mode)

I have one of these, bought a while ago at full price. Whilst the watch is not too bad, the Search button is easily pressed if you move your wrist upwards which changes the timezone to a different setting making it a hassle to jump back to the old time. But for this price it's still a decent price. (Just set all 3 timezone modes to the current time and you won't suffer!)
