Had a chrome Breville 4 slice from Tesco. Broke within 4 months. Replaced with a 2 slice deep Breville as had a matching kettle so got same brand. Guess what now that kettle going too and also less than a year. Not best quality these Breville stuff....

Got this and kettle, in red, in tesco Edinburgh for £19.33 each a couple of weeks ago. Shelf price was £29.50 each.

Popped into Tesco at Yate, they had them at £34.50 down £5 from £39.50.

Seems like the Tesco the OP visited was a bit over zealous with the discount!

How do you get around the burn in issue?

You need to get that toaster calibrated. Deepest blacks are all wrong, you need to aim for rich brown.
