bought one today but its going back tomorrow...no matter what ive tried i cant get rid of the horrible taste...tried bicarb, white vinegar, salt and still tastes and smells bad...noticed there's some mould like marks inside on the bottom plate too

Last week, had a terrible experience with the delivery driver who delivered my my sofa and drove away with my recliner chairs. I rang costumer services to enquire. They promised to get the manager to ring the following day to arrange a new delivery. He never rang. I had to ring them again only to be told that my items were sold to another person and that I have to wait till 7th of August. I left a negative feedback but it was never published :disappointed:

I agree entirely. I left a negative review for a sofa on the Argos site, it never showed up and I asked the "Help chat", the helpline on the phone, I sent emails and even a store manager was aware.
I did eventually get my sofa exchanged (it took 2 months!) but they never published my review. Argos really are awful when it comes to customer service, their ebay outlet and large or multiple item orders. If you pop in for a toaster you might be ok though, but they still ask if you want a protection plan on a £10 item!.

Bought this kettle last month and the on/off switch became stuck so that it wouldn't stay on without keeping my finger on the switch. Otherwise the kettle was ok, didn't leak. But will be returning for a refund based on the switch issue.

Every other one I have had has failed to last long, OK it gets used a fair bit, but I don't ever count on them becoming a family heirloom! Moved on to a Bosch one now, not sure it will last any better though.

As bad as Amazon reviews are, (and many are dodgy paid-for ones) at least they publish them freely. I have had most of the reviews I have posted on Argos refused (for unknown and for trivial reasons) so now I don't bother with them now, either reading or writing them.
