Cool thanks I might have a look in some then. Many years ago when I did go in one cos it was the nearest shop and I was in dire need of a cold drink the soft drinks were extortionately priced compared to anywhere else. I suppose they've had to actually consider being in any way competitive with those nowadays. Progress!

That explains it - I don't drink thus I've never been in an off-licence.

Have Bounty Ice Cream bars made a comeback??!!! They were THE most orgasmic ice cream product in the history of ice cream (although admittedly that's not saying an awful lot as ice cream is generally boring). Then one day they just completely died out. Then a couple of years ago I spotted one in a Mars multi-bar pack, but I only ever want BOUNTY ice-cream bars as the Twix and Mars ones are rubbish.

Multipacks seem to have made a return.
Indicidual bars have always been available in off-licenses for a dear price of £1.80. The new ones have shrunk to the size of fingers from their previous proper ice-cream stick version

Had them in the Wigan store a few weeks back, picked up about 4 packs when the weather wasn't so bad. Still got some in the freezer, they're tasty, but nicer sitting in the garden when the sun's out
